00:27but it's more than just a celebration of design.
00:29It's a launch pad where bold ideas turn into real-world impact.
00:37This interactive forum has quickly become a must-attend event,
00:41bringing together the brightest minds in design, business and innovation.
00:45The Doha Design District is one of the initiatives,
00:47the share property initiative,
00:49to enhance the design talks and also to be the catalyst for the movement.
00:53We need to engage the young talents with the new ideas
00:56and also to support them and create this platform
00:59to come up with a solution how we can solve a number of issues
01:03that is tackling architecture, sustainability, technology,
01:06the product design, tourism.
01:10This year's edition highlighted how new tools
01:13like AI and quantum computing are redefining the creative process.
01:18Jerome Vandermost creates art pieces
01:20that have been exhibited in museums worldwide.
01:23This age which we're at, this fully digital age, you know,
01:27I believe in the power of events like this,
01:29which truly are about, you know, human connection
01:32and human engagement together again.
01:34And I'm an artist, digital artist,
01:36working with all sorts of new technologies.
01:38What you do is create installations,
01:39so computer systems that can create images on their own.
01:44So this could be all sorts of new versions of old master paintings
01:48that are created by artificial intelligence,
01:51but also a bigger project that I worked on over the past two years
01:55is that we use artificial intelligence
01:57to create Prada-like commercials for potatoes and broccoli.
02:03And that's AI is creating all sorts of luxurious imagery
02:06based on these vegetables.
02:09Beyond technology, tough conversations were had,
02:12tackling architecture, sustainability, tourism and product design.
02:17Speakers emphasized that innovation isn't just about aesthetics,
02:20It's about solving some of the world's most pressing design challenges.
02:23Too many offices in Kuwait and in the region
02:26offer the same services,
02:27sort of this kind of traditional engineering approach.
02:30We wanted to kind of step into the shoes of a more boutique-focused,
02:34architectural studio, more aligned with higher-end design,
02:39and something that I thought was missing in the region and in the markets.
02:43Panelist and Saudi content creator, Manal Marvelous,
02:46brought her unique perspective to the summit,
02:48drawing on her experience in fashion and lifestyle.
02:52Even though they're from different sectors,
02:55from the design perspective,
02:57it was very informative, very helpful for me.
03:00Today I'm going to talk about content creation
03:02and how to deal with brands
03:04and how to add the human side
03:06with the creative side in your content.
03:09I create content strictly around fashion and lifestyle.
03:13I don't have a team, I have myself.
03:16I made pants out of, like, bandanas.
03:19I cut bandanas and I created, like, actual functional pants.
03:22I created an outfit for a Saudi actress,
03:26Kharia Abulaban.
03:27Me and my friend, we used threads
03:29and we tied them together in, like, a big fishnet
03:32and we created a full jacket,
03:33a very colorful jacket.
03:35And we created it that way
03:37so when she moves or dances,
03:38everything moves with her.
03:40The summit attracted some of the most creative visionaries
03:44in the industry,
03:45including Christelle Beshara,
03:47a boundary-pushing contemporary artist
03:49known for her captivating, multidimensional works.
03:53Christelle's bold artistic vision
03:55has earned her global recognition,
03:57with collections showcased from Tokyo to Miami.
04:01I create limited editions
04:02and I went beyond the canvas
04:04to create immersive experiences,
04:06taking my art into immersive spaces
04:10that surround people
04:11and creating projects,
04:13very immersive projects.
04:15I combined a unique style
04:17that works perfectly digitally
04:19and traditionally.
04:20So technology for me,
04:22it serves to evolve
04:23and develop my work in my business
04:26as an art studio.
04:28The most expensive,
04:29it would be around $16,000.
04:32It's an original painting.
04:34but then the second most,
04:35it's one NFT that went to $13,000
04:38and this is for a digital file.
04:42From sustainability to social impact,
04:44this year's Innovation by Design Summit
04:46brought bold ideas to the forefront,
04:49making one thing clear.
04:50Qatar isn't just showcasing design,
04:52it's using it to drive business,
04:54innovation and a vision for the future.
