00:00A popular Twitch streamer shocked her audience this week by live streaming the birth of her
00:03daughter and hundreds of thousands tuned in. Fandi, a gaming influencer and OnlyFans model
00:09with more than 370,000 followers on Twitch, went live for eight and a half hours in a stream
00:15titled Water Broke Baby Time. Fandi born Katie Hoffman had an at-home water birth in her living
00:21room and viewers watched her move from the couch to a yoga ball, enduring contractions with the
00:25support of her husband Adam and a handful of friends. The Daily Mail reports that more than
00:30693,000 people tuned in to watch the first live stream birth, which fans are calling the quote
00:36Twitch baby. And according to The Verge, even Twitch CEO Dan Clancy joined the chat during the live
00:41stream and wrote, Fandi, best of luck and congratulations, wishing you the best in this
00:46journey. Clancy's message appeared to signal the platform's approval despite some questioning
00:50whether it violated Twitch's community guidelines. Fandi also confirmed with TMZ that they
00:55received permission from Twitch ahead of the birth. Towards the end of the stream,
00:58Fandi held her eight-pound, one-ounce newborn, Luna Rose, while her chat sent in congratulations
01:03and gifted subs. One fan wrote, congratulations, what an honor to witness such a beautiful life
01:10event. But others online couldn't understand the decision to stream the birth. One ex-critic
01:14stated, isn't anything sacred anymore. The child is seconds old and it's already content.
01:20After her birth, Fandi took to Instagram to explain, I did not do it for money. Ads were kept
01:25minimal and this isn't my everyday content. It wasn't about building an audience. I was
01:29sharing something personal and creating a memory I'll never forget. The 32-year-old streamer
01:34also announced she has deactivated her OnlyFans to focus on just streaming. So what do you think
01:39of Twitch's first live stream birth? Educational or too much information? Share your thoughts and
