Kamala Harris: A glass cliff "suggests finality, and I’m not into that"

Former Vice President Kamala Harris hinted at the Fortune MPW Summit that the 2024 presidential election likely won’t be the last you’ll see of her in politics.⁠

00:00There's another term that women get to have in their careers, which is sometimes a glass cliff.

00:06It's when a job is impossible, and you get to have it.

00:28And, you know, like many here, I've mentored a lot of people, in particular young women.

00:39do you think that breaking barriers means you start out on one side of the barrier

00:44and just end up on the other side of the barrier?

00:47No, there's breaking involved.

00:51And when you break things, you might get cut.

00:54And you might bleed.

00:59And it is worth it every single time.

01:05But the thing we recognize is it is not without pain.

01:10In the soul, it is almost after pain.

01:14Things that are done to qualify.

01:18I will never be loved when I can touch the fire.

01:19It is not without the charisma.
