"Great IoT Platform for a quick start"
What do you like best about Golioth?

It provides a quick start into the world of IoT and enables the rapid development of new prototypes and ideas.

It has good guides for various platforms and devices available and includes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

The pricing of the platform is a bit in-transparent, especially for when it goes beyond the initial pilot phase.

Also, to make full use of the platform it locks you into the platform and its unfortunately not only using open interfaces which are transferable to other systems and platforms without any major reworks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great platform to create and grow a product"
What do you like best about Golioth?

The ease of use of Golioth is incredible compared to others. There is no limit in what you can do and everything is well thought. The docs are on point and great to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

Starting from a bare bones project was difficult, but with passage of time it is becoming easier and easier. The docs are way better than they used to be and the ease of use did improve quite a lot, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cameron Coetzee of Golioth

"Golioth is the solution for ota update"
What do you like best about Golioth?

Golioth is appreciated for its simplicity and ease of use when it comes to handling Over-The-Air updates for microcontroller units. It provides a convenient way to manage and deploy firmware updates remotely, making it a popular choice for IoT (Internet of Things) projects and applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

The costs for me looks so hight when it comes to implement golioth solution as a new startup, maybe it's better to offer. Moreover it's good to have a simple plan for those king of purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cameron Coetzee of Golioth

"Well-done, and I know they're working to make it even better"
What do you like best about Golioth?

I took a Zephyr training that Golioth ran early in the summer. I felt fortunate to have been selected, and found the training immensely useful.

In a two-hour training, there's only so much you can realistically accomplish. I gained a lot of intuition into a set of tools a board vendor that is a big supporter of Zephyr makes, and then got to experience jumping right in to build Zephyr with tools commonly used.

Through all of this, the Golioth staff were constantly making sure everyone was able to move along, and when I had questions they were answered well. Additionally, they did well to guide us along with the procedures as well as the concepts behind it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

"Least helpful" might be the wrong term here, but the weakest spot with this training might have been that there wasn't a great overview or even going down a little into Zephyr from 40000 feet - maybe to about 30000 feet. It's unrealistic to expect a deep dive in two hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Your partner for mass production in IoT"
What do you like best about Golioth?

Golioth allows you to use your own hardware (instead of offering a closed system), and it's also compatible with additional platforms, so it really gives you the flexibility you want for real mass deployments. They also have great technical documentation, providing developers a great experience to interact with all of their functionalities (including Zephyr) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

I don't have anything in mind that I dislike about Golioth. I'm curious if they could offer something for LoRaWAN in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cameron Coetzee of Golioth

"Been with Golioth since the beginning!"
What do you like best about Golioth?

Ease of use when compared to other offerings. I have used many platforms and they give you flexability without it being confusing. Batteries included like:

* Settings

* FOTA

* Logging

* CBOR

* CoAP over DTLS

Plus all the things that make Zephyr great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

Not as much optimization for low power/sleepy operation as I'd hope for. I think they mostly deal with applications that are in an "always on" configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cameron Coetzee of Golioth

2. Example codes

3. Useful blogs for zephyr

"How Golioth helps me in working with Zephyr"
What do you like best about Golioth?

They have a helpful training section in which developers can start learning how to build their products in a new reliable, robust way.

Zephyr is my RTOS of choice, and it is for Golioth too.

The 0,00 $ price with up to 50 devices and 48-hour data retention is a big plus.

They also have a discord server, a better communication method than other classic methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

I have nothing relevant to say; in my experience with Golioth everything went well.

The training section should be populated much more, and I hope they will do that over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cameron Coetzee of Golioth

"Dynamic and Exciting, Fresh Take on Industry Problem"
What do you like best about Golioth?

Very easy to set up and get going, the Golioth console is top notch and the documentation well written and extensive. Multiple different methods for implementation make your solution flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

At this point, one of the downsides would be hardware support, although I'm sure this will improve over time. ESP32/WiFi is the easiest to setup, but the Zephyr base makes porting easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cameron Coetzee of Golioth
