What do you like best about UltraTax CS?

If the service was reliable, the ability to have an online product that our employees can access while working remotely and not having to go through our VPN, is appealing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UltraTax CS?

It is unreliable, slow and shuts down regularly. As tax preparers, we have a very short amount of time to get a substantial amount of work done. Time is money. The time we spend waiting for Ultra Tax CS to work properly costs us money, a lot of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT AT ALL NOW. THEY CANNOT CALL YOU BACK AND IT STATES HOLD TIME IS IN EXCESS OF 2 HOURS. WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO HAVE THE PHONE ON HOLD FO R2 HR. THIS HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE THE 2022 SEASON STARTED. THEY HAVE GONE WAY DOWN HILL AND INCREASED PRICES 30% Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about UltraTax CS?

The ability to have form and input views on different screens combined with the search feature and easy layout makes UT easy to use. They tend to update the software timely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UltraTax CS?

The software could be better when it comes to state returns and large returns tend to slow the software down. We have had issues in the past with orphan screens or corrupt files after crashing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UltraTax CS solving and how is that benefiting you?

We don't solve any business problems from UltraTax, but it is our most used program. The benefits of UT include the projection software, user-friendly format, and ability to customize the software and print options. I can't speak for other software in this area, but I have found that we are able to add custom letters, change print collations, and adjust watermarks to what we need. What do you like best about UltraTax CS?

... There are good things but - the customer service is so poor, it overshadows all good. They may not have enough people. Grew too fast perhaps. Lining up their pockets became too important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UltraTax CS?

Customer support. 2+ hours on the phone to get to an agent who does not know and forwards you call to "nobody" - this happened to me at least 5 times in the last 30 days. Hmm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do I dislike..... EVERYTHING...Support is awful knows absolutely nothing. We are an inhouse tax department and only have to file 1 return for federal and a bunch of states. Let's just say it would have been quicker to do it by hand and using excel. We have to make alot of adjustments for our state returns because we are a partnership and HEAVEN HELP YOU if you have to make adjustments. Buying this software was the biggest mistake. I am basically having to over ride most of the tax return in the form screen. I also, have to reallocate most of the special allocations even though I have the box checked to keep them the same as the federal. Also, waiting forever for anything to download and/or print is insane. I spend so much wasted time waiting on returns to print so I can check them since using the form view does not give you all the statements, etc. Also, paying for useless support....
