I love my insurance! Really, I’m obsessed. I never thought I would say that. In the past, I have had all the same experiences you’ve had. High bills for routine visits, denial of coverage, hours spent on the telephone getting the run around, in short- a system set up to take your money every month and then deny services when you needed them. So when Open Door switched to Curative I was seriously skeptical. But oh my gosh, y’all this is revolutionary. Curative wants me to be healthy and they go above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. I’m just going to walk you through a couple of the ways they support their clients. 🩺The first thing you do with Curative is schedule a baseline visit. They go over your pre existing conditions and family history but then they go further. There’s a whole list of wrap around services they can sign you up for. And they are all free! For me, I signed up for Noom and a nutritionist through HEB. 💊Perscriptions are dropped at your door for free! That’s right, I pay $0 for medications every single time and it just shows up at my doorstep. 💰You may have noticed that everything is free. I never pay a copay. Ever. Storytime: Recently my dermatologist stopped taking curative. I called curative & they answered right away on a Sunday. I asked if I should find a new doctor that is in network. They said no! “You have a relationship with your doctor and it would be too much trouble to find a new one. Just keep seeing that doctor and we’ll cover it 100%.” Like, what?! Who does that?! What prompted me to write this post? Over the course of ten months, with the help of Noom and my nutritionist, I have lost 40lbs and reached a healthy BMI. My goal was to get healthy, to lower co-morbidities, and to feel strong. I have accomplished that while maintaining a healthy relationship with food. (And I eat way more protein now!) I particularly love the daily workouts on Noom. Curative has been truly transformational in my life! I never thought I would feel this way about insurance!
