This is an appreciation post. 💛 🧡 I don’t usually do shoutouts for software (although I promised myself to do this more) but this one really deserves it! I’ve been using G-Accon daily, and it’s helped me out of tricky situations more times than I can count. BUT, this post is about the great feedback I received in the last month from my clients that are currently using it. A couple of real examples, my clients are raving about: In Xero, once you’ve got 50–100+ tracking options (even archived ones), running a P&L split can cause all sorts of problems. With G-Accon, it just works! Xero doesn’t let you run Aged Debtors or Creditors in foreign currencies. G-Accon does! During a migration with MoveMyBooks, I used G-Accon to fix Sales Invoice References that would have otherwise just pulled invoice numbers. That simple change made a huge difference for the client’s historical records. Dear G-accon team, my client and I thank you! 🩵 And just so it’s clear, this isn’t sponsored or paid for. Thank you to G-Accon for your app! I've been dealing with trying to reconcile Health, Life, and Disability Insurance payable for a business that employs around 100 employees for some time now. They use QuickBooks Online, so things can go awry pretty quickly. I wanted a way to monitor employee balances, but the process has been daunting due to the large number of employees and turnover. I think I've finally set up my spreadsheet for maximum efficiency!! 🥳 With the power of Google Sheets, some formula wizardry, and the connection of G-Accon to QuickBooks, I'm able to update the details quickly, allowing me to spend the necessary time analyzing what the numbers mean. I am pulling in the full Employee list to get their display name, hire date, and termination dates. Then, I pull in the "General Ledger by Account" and filter it to only include my payroll liability accounts that I want. I have it set to retrieve data for the year that the health insurance policy is in effect (which is not the calendar or fiscal year). Fingers crossed 🤞 that once the new policy takes effect next year, I can simply copy the spreadsheet, make some minimal updates, and let it continue to do its magic. Reminder to those without an integrated payroll and health insurance system: unless you pay employees bi-monthly, there will always be a difference between the bill and the withholdings per month. If you are reconciling and tracking this regularly, you can: 1) Ensure that everyone's withholdings are set up correctly 2) Hold the insurance company accountable for any differences due to adding or removing people from coverage #corporateaccounting #outsourcedaccounting #cpa #payrollliabilities
