Yesterday, HarperCollins broke ground on its new 1.6 million-square-foot supply chain logistics facility in Brownsburg, Indiana. Indiana Governor Mike Braun joined Brian Murray, President and CEO of HarperCollins Publishers, in kicking off the event, joined by leaders from the Indiana Office of Commerce, the Town of Brownsburg, and HarperCollins, among others. This state-of-the-art facility will utilize the most advanced warehouse technology available and will have the capacity to ship more than 300 million books annually to more than 100 countries around the world. Set to open in 2028, the operation is expected to create more than 400 supply chain logistics jobs and an additional 375 jobs during the construction phase. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eMUXhFR4

HarperCollins and Amistad hosted a mainstage panel discussion titled Keeping History Alive: The Power of Literature at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 54th Annual Legislative Conference, thanks to the continued support of NewsCorp. White House Correspondent April Ryan, author of Black Women Will Save the World, moderated the conversation between Lauretta Malloy Noble and LeeAnet Noble, authors of Black, White, Colored: The Hidden Story of an Insurrection, a Family, a Southern Town, and Identity in America, and Eric Tidwell, Managing Director & General Counsel for the Martin Luther King Jr. estate, who wrote the foreword for the I’ve Been to the Mountaintop gift edition. Following the panel, the authors signed copies of their books for conference attendees.
