At HackerX Toronto, our VP of Technical Program Management Manisha Mahawar highlighted how we’re transforming hospitality through intelligent technology, whether it’s summarizing reviews to give diners a snapshot of a restaurant or through our AI-driven Concierge that answers diner questions instantly. And that’s just the beginning… If you love restaurants and are passionate about the potential of AI, come join us. We’re actively hiring across AI, ML, product engineering, data science, and customer experience. If you’re passionate about shaping the future of dining, reach out to Senior Technical Recruiters Susanna Kwon or Jennifer Chin to learn more. #OpenTable #AI #TechInnovation #MachineLearning #TorontoTech #Hiring

As more people look to AI for search, we’ve been making sure we’re ahead of the curve for diners and most importantly, to serve our restaurant partners as this tech evolves quickly. Our partnership with OpenAI, which earlier this year saw us as the first restaurant tech partner for their Operator tool, has been amazing to see unfold, making a real impact on how people are discovering restaurants. We’re thrilled to be an initial partner later this year for their new Apps in ChatGPT. This feature surfaces apps when ChatGPT suggests one based on the conversation, or by calling them by name. Apps respond to natural language and include interactive interfaces you can use right in the chat. Read more on the rollout from OpenAI here: https://lnkd.in/gm8WX7Xw

Fact: your team's happiness is tied to your guests' happiness. In her latest piece for Notes From the Table, High Street Hospitality founder Ellen Yin*, points out that focusing on the guest experience will only get you so far—true hospitality starts from within. Yin breaks down exactly why internal hospitality isn't just a feel-good perk: it's also a competitive advantage in an industry where great people make all the difference and finding and retaining staff has never been more difficult.  Dig into the rest of her insights here and learn how you can transform your work culture: https://lnkd.in/eX734s6N *Ellen Yin serves on OpenTable's advisory board and is compensated for this role. #Hospitality #RestaurantLeadership #NotesFromTheTable

Booking private and group dining can feel like a full-time job. Recent OpenTable research shows organizers spend an average of 17 hours just trying to discover and secure the right spot.  Restaurants feel the pain, too, and even may miss out on revenue: 42% of diners have decided not to book at all because of unclear information online or the back-and-forth of calls and emails. That’s what inspired us to launch OpenTable’s new private dining marketplace, where finding and booking private rooms, semi-private spaces, or large-party tables is as simple as making a regular reservation. You can filter by party size, neighborhood, and cuisine; see real-time availability, transparent pricing; and at a growing selection of restaurants, book instantly—no phone tag, no waiting. 7 in 10 people (68%) say they would plan more private or group dining events if the process were easier. For upcoming corporate dinners, birthdays, family gatherings and more, explore the new marketplace where private dining meets easy booking: https://lnkd.in/eTUbtY3r
