On the evening of 13th October 2025, during a family dinner in Gurugram, my 80-year-old grandfather missed a step and fell at the restaurant. Initially, we thought it was just a minor ankle twist and kept encouraging him to get up but he couldn’t. He was in immense pain and unable to move or even place his foot down.
We immediately tried calling the government ambulance helpline (102), but the line kept engaging. At that moment, the restaurant manager suggested trying the Blinkit Ambulance service and I’m so glad we did.
Within 8 minutes, their team arrived, well-equipped, calm, and compassionate. They checked all vitals- oxygen, sugar, and blood pressure and smoothly moved my grandfather onto a stretcher. When we requested to go to Max Saket Hospital, we even offered to pay extra for the distance. But their response truly touched our hearts:
“Ma’am, this service is free of cost. We just want to ensure your family member reaches safely. Your family is our family.”
It wasn’t about the money, it was about care, empathy, and the right treatment when it’s needed most.
A huge thank you to blink it for initiating such an incredible, humane service — and to Mr. Irshad Ahmad and his on-ground team for being with us till the very end, ensuring a smooth admission process at the hospital.
This experience restored our faith in how technology and compassion can come together to make a real difference in people’s lives. 💛
