True or false? Insurance marketing is mostly just copying and pasting the same flyer 50 times with slight variations. Each with: ∙ Different required language ∙ Different approved claims ∙ Different disclaimer requirements ∙ Different contact info ∙ Different everything You thought one flyer was enough? Adorable. You need 50. And they all have to be: ∙ Manually created ∙ Individually reviewed ∙ Separately approved ∙ Tracked independently ∙ Updated whenever regulations change (constantly) California changed their regulations? Cool. Redo all California materials. Texas has new requirements? Great. Update everything again. Federal guidelines updated? Perfect. All 50 states need revision. This is every insurance marketer's reality. The alternative approach: Smart Fields pull state-specific requirements automatically. Change one template, update all 50 versions at once. Everyone has access to basic design tools now, which means everyone thinks they're a designer. The requests sound reasonable: ∙ "Can you make it more eye-catching?" ∙ "Can we add more energy?" ∙ "Can it be more... creative?" But they're asking you to make **everything** look like a Super Bowl ad. The real issue is that without systems and standards, every single piece becomes a design debate instead of a quick deployment. What if routine communications could just... exist? With templates that already "pop" appropriately for their purpose. So your creative team can focus on strategy instead of explaining why we can't use 17 fonts on one flyer. 💊 🏥 Every healthcare marketer MUST experience: ∙ Creating beautiful materials (Only to have compliance reject them) ∙ "Can we show actual patients?" (No. Stock photos forever.) ∙ 20 legal reviews for a social post (It's about flu shots. Why does legal need 6 weeks?) ∙ "Make it HIPAA compliant" with zero guidance (They must learn through suffering) ∙ Testimonials that are too specific vs too vague (Finding the balance is their hero's journey) ∙ State-specific regulations nobody told you about (Trial by fire...) ∙ Materials rejected because of font size on disclaimers (8pt isn't accessible. Neither is your timeline.) These are canon events. You cannot save them from this journey. But you CAN implement systems that: ∙ Have compliance built in from the start ∙ Make it impossible to accidentally include PHI ∙ Track approval workflows ∙ Store approved stock photos that are actually diverse ∙ Lock required disclaimers so they can't be removed Healthcare marketing isn't hard because marketing is hard. Nobody asked if maybe, possibly, this could have been planned earlier. But here we are. And somehow, YOU'RE the bottleneck.
