Creating contract clarity for the whole company
About us
We’re a bunch of contract experts, spread across our US and UK headquarters, but working with businesses all over the globe. Our mission is simple - to eliminate contract chaos and create contract clarity for the whole company. How do we do this? With our AI-powered Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) that helps legal and business teams stay aligned and in control. We cut through the contract chaos by embedding smart, intuitive contract workflows across the tools your teams already use. No shelfware, no long implementation projects or complicated training. Just shared visibility, faster turnaround times, fewer surprises and contract clarity for the whole company. We were one of the first CLM solutions to take an embedded integrated approach, so that we could meet businesses in the tools they already know and love - such as Outlook, Gmail, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Salesforce, HubSpot and of course Microsoft Word for all your contract reviews. We’re not just known for our embedded, integrated experience, we’re also known for our sprint-based approach to implementation, our standout support and our powerful AI that supports and enhances your tasks with your legal expertise in mind. We’re loved and valued by many businesses around the globe such as Revolut, Miami Heat, Matillion, Huel, IONITY, SHL Medical and SeatGeek, just to name a few. We have strong customer success stories, overwhelmingly positive G2 testimonials, and plenty of Gartner reviews too. We're a growing team making big things happen out of our HQs in Manchester, UK and Boston, US. Take a look at what we have to offer and start creating contract clarity across your whole company.

Summize takes a different approach to CLM by prioritizing business-wide adoption through seamless integrations, expert implementation plans and powerful AI. For non-legal teams, adoption is simple. No need to learn a completely new way of working, as Summize exists/integrates within familiar software including Salesforce, Teams, Slack, Outlook and Jira. For legal, Summize offers innovative CLM features but with a difference. Self-serve contracting reduces legal’s workload, seamless integrations create smarter workflows, and powerful AI assists and empowers more strategic thinking. Our unique approach ensures business-wide adoption, providing efficiency and business growth for legal. We call it a CLM with a difference.

"It helps the wider business to see that you're swimming in the same direction as them." - Sarah Irwin When your company goals are speed, simplicity and revenue, legal has to move in the same direction. In our recent webinar in partnership with In-House Connect, Sarah Irwin shares how aligning the legal team's goals with the wider business doesn't just build trust, but changes how legal are perceived. We've been hearing this echoed across the in-house community - and let's just say, it's one of the big themes of the brand new Legal Disruptors report coming soon 👀 stay tuned... P.S. Humbled to be named as 'One To Watch' on the LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders list! And what an evening it was! On Wednesday, all the list's leaders got together, celebrated each other and spoke about what it means to be a good business leader in a modern business today. NEW Legal Disruptor alert! Our Head of Content Rebecca Wood sat down with Daryl Osuch, Head of Legal Ops at JERA Co., Inc. to have a chat about his career, moving to Japan and the differences in disruption. Check out his full interview here: https://lnkd.in/etPh_gkn
The good folks at Summize published a write up on me! https://lnkd.in/gwQnzNaQ Frankly, I appreciate the acknowledgment of the effort in: building a legal ops team, supporting the legal operations community in APAC, and trying to do things different (better). The challenges in building and introducing efficiencies out here are very different to the US or places in Europe. Yet, in spite of the fact that we (my whole legal ops team, as well as other change agents in Japan and APAC) are often importing proven methods, shortcuts and technology - we still hit the same hurdles: attachment to old ways of working, and resistance to change. So we keep it up, and we chip away, bit by bit. As I often say (literally passionately)... these efficiencies on Legal Operations can save human lifetime. (In addition to myriad other benefits: standardization, risk management, time and cost savings, etc.). That should be reason enough. Not a single person in any business feels they are doing impactful work when they are cutting and pasting the same data in multiple places. And I am someone who thinks that these efficiencies can and should be leveraged OUTSIDE legal as well. So let's keep up the work, take action when we can on what we can, and be patient with the results. Thanks to Rebecca Wood and Chris Stroud . Also, check out The Legal Ops Podcast on Spotify and YouTube.

"Transparency is key - especially with sales." - Giovanna O'Malley In our recent webinar "How to Elevate the Legal Role", Giovanna shared why collaboration between sales and legal works best when both sides stay transparent about what they can (and can't) own. In the same way sales can't expect legal to set commercial rates, legal shouldn't expect sales to negotiate liability clauses. When teams respect each other's expertise, trust grows and contracts move forward faster - the kind of alignment that turns legal into a true business partner.
