Grateful to Junior Achievement of Northern California for inviting our CMO Ladd Martin to share insights at their FinTech Summit, where students from immigrant families connected with Pomelo's work and mission. Thanks for fostering these meaningful conversations about financial literacy and inclusion.
"Big Scale. Real Problems. Rich Partnerships." That was my answer to a room of high school students this week at Junior Achievement of Northern California's FinTech Summit when asked why I love working in FinTech. What made this summit even better? When I told the students what we were working on at Pomelo, they instantly understood from their own experience in immigrant families. The mission was all around me, and nothing could make me happier. I went in hoping something would stick from our panel and roundtables and clearly it did. A student said to me "I'm going to make my own business in FinTech, watch out, mister!" If you want to find out how you can help kids across the country gain financial literacy or career readiness, DM me, JA is a great way to volunteer and make an impact. Thank you Cristene Burr, Ruby Damian, Duane Wilson for having me!
