Postman reposted this
Big product announcement! Filesystem, Native Git, Postman CLI, and Offline support coming to Postman! These have been the most requested feature requests in Postman for a long time and I am excited to share that these will be available soon for everyone who uses Postman every day. Let’s break it down: ⚫ Filesystem support: Postman Collections, Specs, Environments, and Flows can now work through the filesystem. Not only are we adding filesystem support, we are also building a code editor and shell access natively in Postman to help you stay in the flow. Your IDE and Postman can stay in sync now at all times and never break your flow. ⚫ Native Git: Both filesystem and code editing now enable a native git integration with Postman. This means you can version your API docs, tests, specs, and everything else in Postman with a code commit. You will be able to use your git branch/merge workflows along with Postman workspaces to help ensure that nothing breaks in production. ⚫ CLI integration: Your test CI pipelines can use the postman CLI to run tests, lint specifications, as well as push final signed commits to the Postman cloud for your internal, partner, and public API consumers. ⚫ Offline support: With filesystem support built-in, you don’t need to worry about flaky internet connections or working on the airplane. We will also be bringing this to the cloud-based workspaces to allow for easy synchronization. We will be rolling this out in beta with a full roll-out to follow soon. If you are interested in the beta, post in comments! Is this real? Check out the demo video below.
