Create a conversation ad audience with Matched Audiences

Last updated: 7 months ago

Conversation ad audiences are an option within Matched Audiences that allow you to retarget LinkedIn member accounts that opened a conversation or clicked on any call-to-action (CTA).

To create a conversation ad audience:

  1. Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.

  2. Click Plan on the left menu and select Audiences

  3. Click the Create audience button, then select Matched Audience.

  4. Select Conversation, then click Next.

  5. Name your audience.

  6. Click the How did they engage? dropdown menu and select how someone engaged with the ad:

    • Member accounts that opened a conversation
    • Member accounts that clicked on any call-to-action
  7. Choose the time range of when your audience engaged with your ad. You can select from 30, 60, 90, 180, or 365 days in the past.

    • To create an audience from an ad, the ad doesn’t have to be active, but it must have performance metrics (for example, clicks).
  8. Select the checkbox next to the campaigns you’d like to retarget.

  9. Click Agree & Create.

Your audience will need to match at least 300 member accounts to be used in your campaign targeting.
