Add appointment booking to your Lead Gen Form

To help people connect with your team after they complete a Lead Gen Form, you can give them the option to book an appointment using Calendly on desktop and mobile. Booking appointments through Calendly will allow users to: 

  • Choose a date and time of an appointment 
  • Add an optional note for your team using the Calendly widget

Add the book an appointment option to your Lead Gen Form

You can create Lead Gen Forms if your Ad account is associated with a LinkedIn Page. 

Lead Gen Forms can be created and attached to new campaigns when the Lead generation objective is selected during the campaign creation flow.  

Important to know

This feature isn’t currently available for message or conversation ads. 

To add the option for users to book an appointment with your team: 

  1. Click Assets on the left menu and select Lead Gen Forms

    • Note: You can also create Lead Gen Forms during the ad creation flow.
  2. Click the Create form button at the top. 

  3. Complete the sections you’d like to include in your form. 

  4. For the book an appointment option, select Book an appointment under the Confirmation section. 

  5. In the Calendly URL box, enter your URL. 

    • Note: If you don’t have a Calendly account, you can create one via Calendly’s website to receive a URL to paste into the Calendly URL field. Before sharing your Calendly URL, make sure you and/or your team’s availability is up to date in Calendly. If you don’t wish to create a Calendly account, you can link users to an existing landing page via the Landing Page URL field.
  6. Click Agree & Create

Once a user schedules an appointment, they will receive a confirmation message to the email address that they provided in the Lead Gen Form. 

Preview and test the book appointment option in your Lead Gen Form 

To preview and test the book appointment option in your Lead Gen Form:  

  1. Click Advertise on the left menu of Campaign Manager. 

  2. Select the campaign group and campaign name where the ad creative is saved with the Lead Gen Form you want to access. 

  3. Move your cursor over the ad you select under the Ad name column and click Manage

  4. Click the More icon and select View to preview the ad in a pop-up modal. 

  5. Click the call-to-action button in the preview to test the Lead Gen Form. 

  6. Test the Lead Gen Form and click Submit

  7. Next click Book now to book an appointment.  

  8. Select the type of meeting, date and time, and click Schedule

Important to know

  • Advertisers should make sure their Calendly account is set up and up to date with the latest sales rep availability before starting the campaign creation process to be able to quickly enable this feature. 
  • Advertisers should keep their Calendly availability up to date to avoid reschedules or cancellations. All reschedules and cancellations must be handled via Calendly. 
  • Calendly sends out automated meeting reminders, but it is the advertiser’s responsibility to manage any other communications with the lead.
