Here's a tip
Include all domains that your employees are likely to use for workplace verification. -
Create a new TXT record for your domain to show that you control that domain.
While creating a TXT record, you might encounter one of the following errors:
- Incorrect code: To rectify this error, use the exact code generated by LinkedIn, which starts with: linkedin-site-verification= followed by letters and numbers. Copy the entire code (including the prefix) into your DNS TXT record.
- Check the status: Your domain provider usually updates DNS within 24 hours and you can access this information publicly. Check if your code is live by clicking here and entering your domain. The code must be published within 5 days of your request for it to be processed.
- Unknown error: If you don’t see the code after publishing, either the DNS step was not done correctly or the request was never submitted. Restart the domain verification process from the beginning.
-
You can click the instructions for your specific domain provider for more information. If you need help with this process, ask your organization’s tech team or contact your domain provider for support.
-
After you create the TXT record through your domain provider, click Continue.
-
Review your TXT record, then click Submit request.
Results
After you submit your request, and if the verification process completes successfully, you will see a confirmation message stating that your Page is verified. Your Page will also receive a verification badge that will be visible to all members on LinkedIn. Verification is a reflection of trust and authenticity, and LinkedIn reserves the right to revoke badges if potential misuse or risk is detected.
If patterns of abuse are noticed on your Page, such as suspicious activity associated with the domain, we reserve the right to revoke your verification badge.
