First US state to issue a stablecoin 👏 The State of Wyoming did such a move and announced the mainnet launch of its Frontier Stablecoin Token (FRNT). The token is live on seven blockchains, namely Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Avalance, Polygon, Optimism, and Base. According to the accompanied press release, the token is not yet available to the public due to regulatory hurdles. Why is it interesting? Because this stablecoin has a different focus and approach than existing stablecoins. FRNT has the goal to boost efficiency in government processes, such as paying vendors in seconds and enabling tax refunds and social benefits, on-chain. The income generated from the underlying reserves, will go into the "state wallet" and become part of the budget for the State of Wyoming. 🔥 HOT TIPs for LE Agents Transitioning into a Crypto Career My Inbox is often filled with law enforcement looking to transition into crypto / blockchain investigations. I had the chance to share my early days of working crypto cases with the Drug Enforcement Administration with 🔌Stephen Sargeant and the Around The Coin Podcast. And I think this is some of the advice I would give to those still in law enforcement that have the blockchain bug: 🔥 Start getting educated. Don't just wait for your agency to supply training, take the initiative and learn on your own. There are several free resources out there. We know that agents love their structure and that is why CAT Labs created our own Digital Asset Seizure and Recovery Certification Courses. TRM Labs, Chainalysis also offer blockchain forensics training 🔥 Create the crypto policy within your organization. This may be tough to do from scratch, but documenting your process of handling crypto investigations, speaking to industry experts to understand best practices will give you a great starting point 🔥 Use the technology. We train 1000s of law enforcement agents every year and 100s are utilizing our platform to help identify crypto artifacts in the evidence of their investigation. Most blockchain forensic companies including ours will always have a "request a demo" button. Use it to get you and your agency a feel of how the tools work, as you build up resources and capital to purchase them long term 🔥 Find your people. Law enforcement is all about camaraderie, so seek the experts that have already made the transition from public sector into the private sector or who still use these blockchain analytics tools within their agency.
