Purpose
Further explore the proposals from gitlab-design#1810 (closed) with the goal of moving forward with a direction.
Proposal
Profile details on left
- Better use of whitespace.
- Allows main content to rise to the top.
- Allows user info to persist when viewing tabbed content.
- User info can remain fixed while the rest of the content scrolls.
Content grouping
- Keeping more like content together which not only saves room, but makes for stronger content connections.
- Better hierarchy and scanability.
