Posteo receives the 2024 German Fairness Award

Dear Posteo customers,
We have some news on our own behalf today: We have received the 2024 German Fairness Award.
The prize was awarded in 75 categories by the German Institute for Service Quality and the German news network, ntv. We received the award in the “green email/hosting provider” category.
The results were provided by a large consumer survey which consisted of approximately 73,000 customer votes. The festive award ceremony took place on 15 October 2024 at the Bertelsmann Representative Office in Berlin.
The following aspects of customer satisfaction with companies were researched in advance: Value for money, reliability and transparency.
In the process, qualities such as the following were considered: Pricing structure and reliability, whether promised services were kept, how customer claims were managed, complete and easy-to-understand product information, transparency of contracts and refraining from hidden costs and deceptive offerings. Additionally, the likelyhood of customers recommending the service to others was also considered in the final result. This survey was intended to be representative of the population and consumers could only rate one company in each of the 75 categories. In order to rate a company in a category, consumers were required to have had contact with the company or respectively to have used their product within the past twelve months.
Catja Stammen, editor-in-chief of the ntv Business Magazine said at the award ceremony: “No one can judge the fairness of a company better than its customers with their own personal experiences. Consumer voting has turned the Fairness Award into a distinction that ensures transparency and provides crucial guidance.”
We are particularly happy about the award since fairness in customer relations is very important to us: As a result, at Posteo there are no complicated contracts or unclear pricing and we refund remaining credit when customers terminate their account. We refrain entirely from tracking and advertisement and do not collect any personal data from you in order to protect you. Our customer support is happy to help you with any questions regarding external programs and apps like Thunderbird or Outlook – or we can examine suspicious emails for you. And if you ever accidentally delete data, we will restore a backup for you free of charge.
We will use the 2024 German Fairness Award as an incentive to make new and helpful features available to you and to continually improve our product. We would also like to thank you, our customers, for your trust and your appreciation.
