Miranda NG is a successor of a popular multi-protocol instant messaging client for Windows, Miranda IM. Very light on system resources and extremely fast. Supports Em-LAN Facebook, Gadu-Gadu, ICQ / MRA, IRC Internet Relay Chat, Jabber XMPP, MinecraftDynmap, Omegle, Sametime, SkypeWeb, Steam, Tox, Twitter, and VKontakte. Linux is not a natively supported operating system, but Miranda is known to run on Linux under Wine. PluginUpdater is responsible for keeping your Miranda up-to-date. It checks for updates for all installed plugins and other components like icon sets and langpack regularly (depending on its settings) and performs updating automatically.

base64 RFC1113 Vanilla ANSI-C Code for a portable stand-alone file encode/decode utility. In 2001, I asked people to 'Help me break it!' Since then, 10+years later, the code remains unbroken and is in wide production use world-wide. It has been ported to all major architectures and been used as a template for ports to different computer and human languages. This is very mature and stable code. Although this comes from a project that was constrained by export controls and is used in secure systems, it is not security code per-se. I have therefore altered the 'Export Controls' category.

Quiet is an alternative to team chat apps like Slack, Discord, and Element that does not require trusting a central server or running one's own. In Quiet, all data syncs directly between a team's devices over Tor with no server required. Quiet is not audited and should not be used when privacy and security are critical.
