WinAVR (tm) is a suite of executable, open source software development tools for the Atmel AVR series of RISC microprocessors hosted on the Windows platform. Includes the GNU GCC compiler for C and C++.

JWasm is a Masm-compatible assembler. It supports 16-, 32- and 64-bit code, instructions up to AVX and various output formats. It's written in C.

amforth is an extendable command interpreter running on AVR ATmega and TI MSP430 microcontrollers. The Risc-V and ARM architectures are ascending. Turnkey actions for IoT workloads are possible as well. The command language is close to the Forth 2012 standard.

ImpLib SDK combines free programming tools for authoring custom import libraries for Windows DLL (32 and 64 bit). The SDK supports advanced features, like cdecl2stdcall conversion, importing by ordinal, removing original thunk, storing symbols from different DLL files in a single import library. The ImpLib SDK is also useful to overcome any legal restrictions when redistributing the import libraries for certain DLL files, like the Microsoft® C++ runtime. The import libraries for the CRT or STL are part of the Windows SDK. Even though the SDK is available for free, redistributing these files is not allowed according to the current license agreements. An alternative is to generate these import libraries using the ImpLib SDK, as it doesn't restrict redistribution. Tiny C compiler, programmed in C with compiler/linker/assembler included. VERY fast and mainly usable as a library. WIN32 port of the http://tinycc.org version. Compiles code to memory currently, perhaps disk soon. Go to the homepage for more info.

Vector Pascal is a language targeted at SIMD multi-core instruction-sets such as the AVX and SSE2 or x86-64-v3. It has a SIMD compiler which supports parallel vector operations, loop unrolling, common sub expression removal etc. It is implemented in Java.

CDK4NIOS stands for Cross Development Kit for Altera's soft core processor NIOS and should you support with a comprehensive Assembler and C/C++ development environment under Linux. It will present only free of fee tools, so you can use it without risks.

David Ashley's C compiler has now been GPL'd. This includes the full source, some demo programs, along with some minor changes... ACC builds 32bit exe's using TRAN's PMODE dos extender for MS-DOS.
