An updated Beginners guide to FreeBASIC
The purpose of this project is to create and update a beginners guide to FreeBASIC. Over the years I have noticed that there was only three real ways to learn FreeBASIC. The FreeBASIC Documentation, the FreeBASIC Community Forum, and A old beginners guide written by Richard D. Clark and Ebben Feagan. Each of these sources are great, but they all assume some experience with a programming language. This Project is taking Richard D. Clark's and Ebben Feagan's "A Beginner's Guide to FreeBasic" and is editing, updating, reorganizing, and simplifying this guide. Mr. Clark and Mr. Feagan generously open sourced there guide so I could start this project. Without being able to stand on their shoulders I could not have even started this project. Please check out my homepage for updated information and ways you can help with this ongoing project. If you can please buy me a hamburger as it is hard writing a book. -

Bingo Cards
Prepare bingo cards game for any educational purpose.
The idea is simple. Instead of solving exercises in serial form in the classroom, it is better to wrap the solving exercises experience with a game similar to Bingo. The students will love it and the teacher will have a very nice time! This extension provides Calc with a tool able to create Bingo Cards and the corresponding interactive document to play the game in the classroom. The teacher type in the Bingo sheet the questions and the corresponding answers and he/she gets the cards in the Bingo Cards sheet. A printer is required to print the BINGO cards and a scissor to cut them apart while the classroom should be equipped with a projector and a computer running OpenOffice or LibreOffice. Download BingoCards-3.1.4.zip and unzip in your computer. Please install the APPROPRIATE .oxt for your system, the other versions will NOT work! Some representative examples are included. All can be used to take a look how things can be done in Gambas, not with the idea to supply a product or a finished program. The sourcecode can easily be run from Gambas2 on Linux. Some small programs that appear here are in real use in a small business, but no warranty is given! SimpleDemo contains more complete apps that can be used to demonstrate a working Gambas program. Database is often needed. SimpleSample is more a small piece of sample code as a reminder how gambas works or how something can be done. Empty project is an example of how you can start with some things in place already; just copy the code to any new project, more templates might appear. Feedback is welcomed of course, bugs might be corrected if you create a ticket in the bug list. -

Intellect Modeling Kit (IMK) is intended to build knowledge machines (KM) assisting experts on the steps of activity: * Observation; * Producing propositions based on knowledge; * Elimination of impossible propositions; * Selection and verification of the most appropriate propositions; * Memorizing - new knowledge item creation; * Abstraction – building objects representing typical signs of similar objects groups, data mining. KM is not intended to replace human experts, it is built to multiply abilities. Machine should not be responsible for decisions. The IMK is designed to create ready-to-use software applications using simple text files. Any human knowledge can be uploaded to KM by expert not familiar with software coding. Demos present in kit. Please install instead Apousiologos for local network located at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/apousiologoslanversion/ Greek secondary education teachers have the obligation to prepare a report for every student that exceeds the legal limit of absences and post it at their families in a monthly basis. Apousiologos is an application with the purpose to make the counting for the teacher, prepare the necessary report for him/her, and export each report in html or csv form for printing or further editing if necessary. Since, it is not known what are the similarities of the greek school attendance legislation with other countries it is not clear whether it makes sense to provide also an english (or other language) version of the application. However, if someone feels that this would help teachers from another country he/she is welcome to contact me for details. -
