Emoji-Log
An Emoji Git commit log messages spec standard
After building hundreds of open source software I've ended up inventing a git commit log standard called EMOJI-LOG that helps me understand a project's history with a less cognitive load just by looking at the git log. I like emoji. I like ’em a lot. Programming, code, geeks/nerds, open-source, all of that is inherently dull and sometimes boring. Emoji (which is, in fact, the plural of emoji) helps me add colors and emotions to the mix. Nothing wrong if you want to attach feelings to this 2D flat text-based world of code. I found out that instead of memorizing hundreds of emoji it's better to keep the categories small and general. -

Signature Pad
HTML5 canvas based smooth signature drawing
Signature Pad is a JavaScript library for drawing smooth signatures. It's HTML5 canvas based and uses variable width Bézier curve interpolation based on Smoother Signatures post by Square. It works in all modern desktop and mobile browsers and doesn't depend on any external libraries. Demo works in desktop and mobile browsers. You can check out its source code for some tips on how to handle window resize and high DPI screens. You can also find more about the latter in HTML5 Rocks tutorial. This library is provided as UMD (Universal Module Definition) and ES6 module. When you modify width or height of a canvas, it will be automatically cleared by the browser. SignaturePad doesn't know about it by itself, so you can call signaturePad.clear() to make sure that signaturePad.isEmpty() returns correct value in this case. -

libvips
A fast image processing library with low memory needs
libvips is a demand-driven, horizontally threaded image processing library. Compared to similar libraries, libvips runs quickly and uses little memory. libvips is licensed under the LGPL 2.1+. It has around 300 operations covering arithmetic, histograms, convolution, morphological operations, frequency filtering, colour, resampling, statistics and others. It supports a large range of numeric types, from 8-bit int to 128-bit complex. Images can have any number of bands. It supports a good range of image formats, including JPEG, JPEG2000, JPEG-XL, TIFF, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, FITS, Matlab, OpenEXR, PDF, SVG, HDR, PPM / PGM / PFM, CSV, GIF, Analyze, NIfTI, DeepZoom, and OpenSlide. It can also load images via ImageMagick or GraphicsMagick, letting it work with formats like DICOM. It comes with bindings for C, C++, and the command-line. Full bindings are available for Ruby, Python, PHP, C# / .NET, Go, and Lua. -

The Rich API makes it easy to add color and style to terminal output. Rich can also render pretty tables, progress bars, markdown, syntax highlighted source code, tracebacks, and more, out of the box. Rich is a Python library for rich text and beautiful formatting in the terminal. Rich works with Linux, OSX, and Windows. True color/emoji works with new Windows Terminal, classic terminal is limited to 16 colors. Rich requires Python 3.7 or later. Effortlessly add rich output to your application, you can import the rich print method, which has the same signature as the builtin Python function. Rich can be installed in the Python REPL, so that any data structures will be pretty printed and highlighted. As you might expect, this will print "Hello World!" to the terminal. Note that unlike the builtin print function, Rich will word-wrap your text to fit within the terminal width. -

High performance Node.js image processing module
The typical use case for this high speed Node.js module is to convert large images in common formats to smaller, web-friendly JPEG, PNG, AVIF and WebP images of varying dimensions. Resizing an image is typically 4x-5x faster than using the quickest ImageMagick and GraphicsMagick settings due to its use of libvips. Colour spaces, embedded ICC profiles and alpha transparency channels are all handled correctly. Lanczos resampling ensures quality is not sacrificed for speed. As well as image resizing, operations such as rotation, extraction, compositing and gamma correction are available. Most modern macOS, Windows and Linux systems running Node.js v10+ do not require any additional install or runtime dependencies. This module supports reading JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, GIF and SVG images. Output images can be in JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and TIFF formats as well as uncompressed raw pixel data. Streams, Buffer objects and the filesystem can be used for input and output. -

We develop lots of different Android apps at Yalantis, and our experience shows that almost every application we deal with needs image cropping functionality. Image cropping can be used for various purposes, from ordinary adjustment of user profile images to more complex features that involve aspect ratio cropping and flexible image transformations. Since we want to provide all our customers with the best set of tools for image editing functionality, we decided to create uCrop, an image cropping library for Android. You might be wondering why we couldn’t just use one of the existing solutions for image cropping for Android. After all, you can find lots of them on Github and on the Android Arsenal. But here is the thing, none of these solutions could satisfy our requirements. Let’s take a quick look at the most popular open-source image cropping libraries and explain why they don’t quite fit the bill. -

The Simd Library is a free open source image processing library, designed for C and C++ programmers. It provides many useful high performance algorithms for image processing such as: pixel format conversion, image scaling and filtration, extraction of statistic information from images, motion detection, object detection (HAAR and LBP classifier cascades) and classification, neural network. The algorithms are optimized with using of different SIMD CPU extensions. In particular the library supports following CPU extensions: SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX, AVX2 and AVX-512 for x86/x64, VMX(Altivec) and VSX(Power7) for PowerPC, NEON for ARM. The Simd Library has C API and also contains useful C++ classes and functions to facilitate access to C API. The library supports dynamic and static linking, 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, Android and Linux, MSVS, G++ and Clang compilers, MSVS project and CMake build systems.">

ESP8266Audio
Arduino library to play MOD, WAV, FLAC, MIDI, RTTTL, MP3
Arduino library for parsing and decoding MOD, WAV, MP3, FLAC, MIDI, AAC, and RTTL files and playing them on an I2S DAC or even using a software-simulated delta-sigma DAC with dynamic 32x-128x oversampling. ESP8266 is fully supported and most mature, but ESP32 is also mostly there with built-in DAC as well as external ones. For real-time, autonomous speech synthesis, check out ESP8266SAM, a library that uses this one and a port of an ancient format-based synthesis program to allow your ESP8266 to talk with low memory and no network required. All this code is released under the GPL, and all of it is to be used at your own risk. If you find any bugs, please let me know via the GitHub issue tracker or drop me an email. The MOD and MP3 routines were taken from StellaPlayer and libMAD respectively. The software I2S delta-sigma 32x oversampling DAC was my own creation and sounds quite good if I do say so myself. -

video-nonlocal-net implements Non-local Neural Networks for video understanding, adding long-range dependency modeling to 2D/3D ConvNet backbones. Non-local blocks compute attention-like responses across all positions in space-time, allowing a feature at one frame and location to aggregate information from distant frames and regions. This formulation improves action recognition and spatiotemporal reasoning, especially for classes requiring context beyond short temporal windows. The repo provides training recipes and models for standard datasets, as well as ablations that show how many non-local blocks to insert and at which stages. Efficient implementations keep memory and compute manageable so the blocks can be added without rewriting the entire backbone. The result is a practical, drop-in mechanism for upgrading purely local video models into context-aware networks with strong benchmark performance. -

Emoji for Python. This project was inspired by kyokomi. The entire set of Emoji codes as defined by the Unicode consortium is supported in addition to a bunch of aliases. By default, only the official list is enabled but doing emoji.emojize(language='alias') enables both the full list and aliases. By default, the language is English (language='en') but also supported languages are Spanish ('es'), Portuguese ('pt'), Italian ('it'), French ('fr'), German ('de'). The utils/get-codes-from-unicode-consortium.py may help when updating unicode_codes.py but is not guaranteed to work. Generally speaking it scrapes a table on the Unicode Consortium's website with BeautifulSoup and prints the contents to stdout in a more useful format. -

Charting library for Android compatible with API 8+(Android 2.2). Works best when hardware acceleration is available, so API 14+(Android 4.0) is recommended. Apache License 2.0. Line chart (cubic lines, filled lines, scattered points), column chart (grouped, stacked, negative values), pie chart, bubble chart, combo chart (columns/lines), preview charts (for column chart and line chart), zoom (pinch to zoom, double tap zoom), scroll and fling. Custom and auto-generated axes (top, bottom, left, right, inside), and animations. Code of a demo application is in hellocharts-samples directory, requires appcompat v21. The demo app is also ready for download on Google Play. Every chart view can be defined in layout xml file or created in code and added to layout later. After the chart data has been set you can still modify its attributes but right after that you should call set*ChartData() method again to let chart recalculate and redraw data. -

An image processing library written entirely in JavaScript for Node
An image processing library for Node written entirely in JavaScript, with zero native dependencies. If you're using this library with TypeScript the method of importing slightly differs from JavaScript. Instead of using require, you must import it with ES6 default import scheme. If you're using a web bundles (webpack, rollup, parcel) you can benefit from using the module build of jimp. Using the module build will allow your bundler to understand your code better and exclude things you aren't using. If you're using webpack you can set process.browser to true and your build of jimp will exclude certain parts, making it load faster. The static Jimp.read method takes the path to a file, URL, dimensions, a Jimp instance or a buffer and returns a Promise. In some cases, you need to pass additional parameters with an image's URL. -

Typed.js is a library that types. Enter in any string, and watch it type at the speed you've set, backspace what it's typed, and begin a new sentence for however many strings you've set. Rather than using the strings array to insert strings, you can place an HTML div on the page and read from it. This allows bots and search engines, as well as users with JavaScript disabled, to see your text on the page. You can pause in the middle of a string for a given amount of time by including an escape character. CSS animations are built upon initialization in JavaScript. But, you can customize them at your will! -

This JavaScript library detects and tracks the face in real time from the camera video feed captured with WebRTC. Then it is possible to overlay 3D content for augmented reality applications. We provide various demonstrations using main WebGL 3D engines. We have included in this repository the release versions of the 3D engines to work with a determined version (they are in /libs/<name of the engine>/). This library is lightweight and it does not include any 3D engine or third-party library. We want to keep it framework agnostic so the outputs of the library are raw, if the face is detected or not, the position and the scale of the detected face and the rotation Euler angles. But thanks to the featured helpers, examples and boilerplates, you can quickly deal with a higher level context (for motion head tracking, for face filter or face replacement). We continuously add new demonstrations, so stay tuned! -

miniaudio is written in C with no dependencies except the standard library and should compile cleanly on all major compilers without the need to install any additional development packages. All major desktop and mobile platforms are supported. miniaudio gives you complete flexibility. With the low-level API, just initialize a connection to the device and send or receive raw audio data. The modular design of miniaudio allows you to use the low-level API without compromising your ability to make use of other features like the node graph and resource manager. miniaudio's node graph system gives you an easy way to set up advanced mixing and effect graphs. Each node sends it's output to another node, and so on and so forth to produce all kinds of effects. You can even implement your own custom nodes and plug them in however you like. Plug multiple nodes into the same input node for mixing and use the splitter node for complex routing.
