Correction. Try https://www.mayan-edms.com I used to use docmgr until it was no longer maintained. I needed to switch to something that was actively developed and supported.

it might be 'dead' but it still works great, and is easy to modify because the PHP is well structured. It might be 'dead' because it has all the features that you need already.
