This ezCheckPrinting License Key Generator tool lets you import checks into TXT, TAB, and CSV formats and also from Quicken or QuickBooks but only exports the data in CSV. You can set up multiple accounts, or duplicate them, as well as back up and restore data saved within the MDB file. The printer can be used if you are printing checks that are preprinted. Ok. I just installed the Oracle JRE 8 and it seems to work. It appears to be a OpenJDK compatibility issue. It would be good to fix it to use OpenJDK 8. In most Linux distributions this is the default installed version, because of open source incompatibility of the Oracle version. But anyway, it can be used this way. Thanks!
Hi, On my Mac using Java 8 from https://java.com works with the version you can download here. When it comes to newer Java versions I know about the startup problem, and there's a fix for it in the github repository here (if you are able to compile it on your own): https://github.com/petersalomonsen/frinika/commit/eeaaa1770542d37358e66017910eb4a72b768db8 However I still think Java 8 is the best version to use for Frinika, and wouldn't really recommend a newer version. Java 8 is also the latest release...

That's great. DGuitar was one of the projects I have in my wish list for integration ;-) Maybe I'll contact Mauricio about what are goals for DAWN and join the effort... And I think you did great job with Frinika. If possible, I would like to write DAW in a way, that it would be usable for multiple languages including Javascript, but I'm not there yet (at least for another few decades or so...)

Hi, Thanks for the effort. Like you say it is a lot of work when trying to refactor and reorganize. No problem if you want to use the "Frinika Studio" name. There's also a new initiative from the author of DGuitar: https://github.com/mauriciogracia/DAWN As for myself I'm mostly into using the tools for creating music - done some improvements, but not anything for release yet. I'm also interested in the stuff going on with web audio and webassembly, so my programming efforts are mostly going in that...
Hi again, I guess I'm going to abandon this initiative. I tried to keep it low on changes and focus on refactoring, but there is still ton of issues and some features are still missing (like for example radio server) Latest build: http://hajdam.zdechov.net/share/frinika/frinika-0.9.0-dev-20180902.zip Also I opted for pull request, but you can reject it or request fixes, as there are still issues. If I'll have time, I'll continue on this, but for different reason. I'll drop file format based on serialization...

Hi Peter, I can't make Jack work on my Linux (Fedora) even with older frinika... But it appears in audio configuration while in modified version it's not present. I'll have to look on that. Also I found some other issues, for example metronome doesn't play in some cases and I can't make virtual keyboard visible... Oh well, I'll try to look on that once I'll find some free time :-(
Are you able to run Frinika using Jack on Linux? I was trying to use Jack, works with the old frinika, but not with 0.9.0 ( client shows up in qjackctl, but not possible to connect with system output)
Hi Paul, thanks for your response. I have only old Mac OSX as virtual machine and sound is not working, therefore application stops when opening file. I tried to add dummy audio driver, but it didn't help. I don't intend to buy Apple device just for testing and I was not successful so far finding better virtual image for testing purposes (wasted many hours), so I won't be able to check this any time soon. Maybe you could include some additional information like: - Version of your system and installed...
Hi Miroslav, Is this just a mac problem? It does not always happen sometimes the moving cursor is OK. best Paul.
Miroslav, Nice work. I like the helix integration and the Darcula theme. I did not test much but on my mac I had issue shown in the attachment. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ofq4wvqyl90wsz/Screen%20Shot%202018-04-07%20at%2023.07.29.png?dl=0

Hi, this is proposal for new version of frinika as previously discussed in: https://sourceforge.net/p/frinika/discussion/447356/thread/bf64b5f5/ Current testing build: http://hajdam.zdechov.net/share/frinika/frinika-0.9.0-dev-20180407.zip It's still work in progress. Using forked branch: https://github.com/hajdam/frinika I would like to merge it into main, if possible. Let me know if you require stabilization first or if I can request it in current state or if it's not acceptable at all. Changes:...
Dependency on Java 8 or newer is acceptible yes! Your version is quite a major upgrade so would be appropriate to go for 0.9 Backward compatibility testing is mostly about being able to load old projects, like the example projects on sourceforge. If you have to break some of this it's not critical. It's ok to integrate other libraries and projects Feel free to create installers. Zip-only distribution is for simplicity, and some package-maintainers have been creating installers for various distros...

I switched to repository https://github.com/hajdam/frinika which is forked from Frinika repository. I'll continue my activity there. Unfortunately I was ill during Christmas/end of year period, so I was not able to progress at all. I'm ok with modularization and switching to gradle, so for me you don't need to keep the current sources.. Looking forward to see the progress here!
Hi Peter, in best case I would like to prepare pull request, but it would include modularized (moved) sources as well. So it depends on if such extended modification of code is acceptable for you (plus switch to gradle building). There is still lot of work and more testing I have to do. I could try to extract some partial change to current code base if you want to keep current sources...
Looks very good :-) https://github.com/hajdam/frinika-studio
Sorry for late reply. Just tested with the latest version - and loaded one of my projects which worked fine! Looks good with the new Dracula theme :-) How are you thinking about merging? Will you be posting a patch (pull request) into the existing Frinika repository, or are you suggesting replacing the existing sources with your reorganized structure (you have moved all the sources into different folders ( modules )) ?

I hope I fixed that (I moved MultiPart into wrong package when splitting into modules). I'll try to check if there are any other similar mistakes later today. I didn't notice any, but there sure are some broken things remaining. http://hajdam.zdechov.net/share/frinika/frinika-studio-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT-20171123.zip

Just cloned the repository - and run it directly from there. Maybe wave/audio part will work in this version, but saving is broken and it will take me a while to fix that. http://hajdam.zdechov.net/share/frinika/frinika-studio-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT-20171122.zip
Hi, like I said, it's work in progress and many things are broken right now. For example I tried it on Windows 10 now and got NPE right on start. On Linux I tried opening some of the sample files, which worked for me. Other stuff like audio parts are still broken. I couldn't open some of my older projects even in Frinika as I moved files or my keyboard is not connected ;-) On this version you can also try Tools - Generator - SoundHelix. http://hajdam.zdechov.net/share/frinika/frinika-studio-0.1....

Looks very cool with that dark version :-) I think it's very interesting to see different versions and forks, so keep on experimenting! Was trying to load projects created with the original Frinika into this new, but couldn't make it work. Have you succeeded in transfering projects from the original Frinika to your version?
Looks very cool. best Paul
Hi again, I was bored so I was messing around with Frinika for fun and tried to create dark version of it using old code from my "Frinthesia" and NetBeans platform version modifications. As always it's not finished and many things are broken, but it can at least give you feel of something different ;-) Screenshot here: http://github.com/hajdam/frinika-studio You can try it here: http://hajdam.zdechov.net/share/frinika/frinika-studio-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT.zip I can remove it of course, if you think it's...

It worked perfectly! Thank you very much for your time.
Haven't figured out exactly why your file wouldn't import with the regular import midi function, but found that if you use the "Import MIDI to lane(s)" function in the Edit menu, that seemed to import your file. Does that work for you?
That one worked for me as well, and I used the same process for the one that didn't work, so it must be a problem with the file itself. Here's the midi Thanks
I just tried to download "Star Wars - by John Willams (Movie Themes)" from this page: http://www.midiworld.com/files/1128/ and import it into frinika using the "Import midi" function. Frinika prompts "select midi out device" and I chose Gervill, and the midi file imported find and I was able to play it. Seems like you're doing nothing wrong. It might be that your MIDI file has some setup that Frinika isn't able to handle. Would you like to attach it so that I can investigate what goes wrong?
