There is a delay of about a second from the moment a note is clicked with the mouse, until the sound is produced, In the ReadMe file that comes with the download, it is recommended to increase the garbage collector, in order to solve this problem. This solves the problem for a while, but after a couple of minutes the program becomes slow again

OS: Mac OS Leopard

    Was this with Gervill ? Early versions of Gervill had a problem with floating point underflows that could explain this.

    Now that java 1.6 is available for 64-bit macs - how is this working (according to your system specs it is 64 bits right?).
