"Best and easy CADD Drafting Software "

What do you like best about MicroStation?

Out of my 8 hours of daily work I use this software for atleast 6 hours a day. Its a very portable easy to learn drafting software when compare to any other CADD softwares I used before. I started CADD by autoCAD first, The best part of the software is its settings, one click of setting for scale, for annotations, for reference attachments, level managements, its compatibility with other softwares import or exporting is easy. What do you dislike about MicroStation?

I have to think hard to write any dislikes of this Drafting software. ONly one thing I dont like it is sometimes attached references turn red on you means its detached by itself and I have to reattach them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MicroStation solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was an internal tech writer for the "Building" domain products suite for users. As routine tasks of writing help documentation, I worked on Buillding domain applications, rather, I had to use the platform features prominant in MicroStation. Over to the base features, such as floor builder, for example, the building-specific floor design made the product intelligence helping to energy calculations and allied computing including material planning even indicating them in cut views. The intern structure made significant using the specialty feature named extracted views inherited from MS. Every building feature of drawings was tapped through the MicroStation features to bring domain-specific attributes to the BuildingDesigner application. I loved that it is easy to use, as a beginner and a frequent user I find it too useful and easy to implement. It is compatiable with most of the file formats which help to integrate with different other design tools. It is a highly productive tool and thats why I believe it offers good value for money. What do you like best about MicroStation?

Microstation gives you more control and options for some civil work than other CAD platforms. Plus, the interface with Microstation resembles that of ArcGIS online and Microsoft office products, which is really helpful when learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MicroStation?

If you learn Microstation after learning another CAD program (Eg, AutoCAD, Civil3D, etc.), there are some challenges that are present. However, I've heard that if it's the other way around (you learn Microstation THEN another platform), you have an advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MicroStation solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microstation is still being used by a lot of state agencies, particularly in New York. Getting to know Microstation more is helping our company expand on the types of projects we're able to bid on. A 3D model helps me build accurate representation of my ideas, which benefits both the designer and the client. The client can see what the project will look like when it is built. "An intriguing and fun software for CAD modelling indeed"

What do you like best about MicroStation?

As a grad student who’s been using MicroStation for 6 months, what I love most is how easy it makes 3D modeling and working with different file types. For instance, I had to design a gyroid model for our 3D printing project. MicroStation let me create super detailed 3D models even at a very small scale. Plus, even though my teammates were using different CAD software, we had no problems because MicroStation supports tons of file formats like DWG and DXF. Also, I became an instant fan of the visualization tools that helped me make realistic renderings of the atoms, material constituents and test samples, which were awesome for showing at my poster presentation. Also, being able to customize the interface and automate tasks with simple scripts saved me a ton of time and hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MicroStation?

As a student I have a university alloted laptop for my academic work and the software can be quite resources-intensive, which sometimes slows down my computer, especially with bigger rendering models.
