What do you like best about Affirm?

What fascinates me the most is the customer service. Affirm helped us at all times.

Affirm is easy to use and track sales. Their dashboard lets me see how much money we are making and how often it's used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affirm?

Something that they need to work on is follow-up with new customers. It will be nice if the first 1-3 months after a company is using their services, receive an email, call, or meeting to see hows the performance and if changes are necessary like positon, advertising, or functionality. What do you like best about Affirm?

Affirm has helped our small company grow by allowing us to offer our customer's the ability to break their large purchase into smaller payments. Affirm has been flexible and accommodating for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affirm?

Affirm offers our competitors better rates which makes it harder for us to compete. I understand why (because of the sheer volume that they do) but it is a big disadvantage to us when we are trying to be competitive in our pricing strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lots of incompetence and extremely poor treatment of their merchant partners"

What do you like best about Affirm?

It was an easy way to add financing options for customers if Affirm was more trustworthy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affirm?

The Affirm team is riddled with incompetence. Glitches on their end caused their system to cancel a customer's order automatically, yet it was still showing active on my customer's account. After the refund was processed, the customer was still turned off by the experience and did not return to place another order. This glitch cost my company hundreds of dollars in potential profit. It took almost an entire month of numerous emails before Affirm identified the problem in their system. They then placed a test transaction to verify things were working correctly. Months later, they charged me a fee on the transaction their system glitch canceled, as well as the test transaction their employee placed. After three more weeks of back and forth emails, I finally got them to admit they inappropriately withheld the fees from those two transactions and got that money back. I also found out that they had been updating/changing the terms of the merchant agreement without notifying my company, and they repeatedly ignored my request to provide copies of the original policies. Affirm steadfastly refuses to talk to their merchant partners by telephone, which would have likely resolved our disputes in a much more efficient and timely manner. I can not truly convey my level of dissatisfaction with Affirm and its horrible customer service. I will cease to accept Affirm as a payment option through my store in the very near future Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Affirm:

Look for other options. Affirm does not care about its merchant partners. Don't be willing to sign agreements with Affirm where they included policies and terms on separate web links instead of the contract document. They have modified the content of those policies and terms without always notifying the other party or seeking the other party's approval. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I thought adding Affirm as a payment option would increase sales, but it became much more of a hassle and liability due to Affirm's failures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They should not do loans with treatment plans because the treatments may last longer than the cancellation time, so you don't if the treatment will work until after the cancellation expires. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Affirm?

Affirm allows our customers to pay over time with great interest rates and many options for payments. Affirm also provides loads of marketing materials and directly interfaces with our Shopify website. It couldn't be easier! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Alternative to Credit Cards"

What do you like best about Affirm?

I like best that you get an instant decision without it affecting your credit, and if you don't qualify, you can check back in 15 days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affirm?

It doesn't allow you to browse the different stores in the app without checking how much you qualify for first for each store. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Affirm solving and how is that benefiting you?

I don't have to use any of my saved cash reserves, and I can pay for large purchases over time with a set payment is one problem using Affirm solves for me. Another is if I have an emergency expense that caught me off guard. The benefits I've realized is that I have had one of those emergencies, and I was able to pay over time, and when I had enough money to pay it off early, I didn't get penalized for doing so.
