"Less confining, better ethics"
What do you like best about Android?

The ability to distribute my software in any way I choose, including placing it on a web server for others to download/install. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

The inability for the *OWNER* of a phone/tablet to say "app X is allowed full root access". This lack ... this unethical limitation ... means that I cannot write software that I desired. The owner of a phone should be the arbiter of what can be done on the phone, not some comittee at Google! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Android has been a significant part of the mobile experience."
What do you like best about Android?

The customization aspect of Android stands out to me. The ability to personalize the home screen, use widgets, and choose from a wide array of apps from the Play Store allows for a tailored experience. It's like having a device that truly reflects your preferences and needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

Security is a significant concern in Android, and Google has been progressively improving it, particularly in the latest versions of the operating system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"super app for life"
What do you like best about Android?

The Google Play Store is home to a vast and diverse collection of applications, ranging from productivity tools to entertainment and gaming. The robust app ecosystem ensures that Android users have access to the latest innovations and a wealth of choices to enhance their device functionality. The availability of third-party apps allows for a dynamic and continually evolving user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

Security Concerns:

Android's open-source nature, while providing flexibility, can also be a vulnerability. The decentralized nature of app distribution and the diverse hardware ecosystem can make it challenging to enforce consistent security standards. Some users are concerned about the potential for malware and security breaches, especially when downloading apps from third-party sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I'll take Android over old school any day!"
What do you like best about Android?

My dream of having a handheld phone/PC was granted when the first Android phone came out. I always wanted something I could carry with me in my pocket that provided me access to the Internet, maps, my accounts, email, etc. all in one device. I am 65yo, so I lived before there were computers and cell phones. We used to have to do things the slooooooowwwwww way, and in comparison it seems like it would take forever just to make one phonecall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

Possible security breaches, ads, and battery discharge. But if you consider the pluses, these are easily "cancelled out". Its all about balance, and I'd take an android phone over old school any day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
