- Data modeling is one of the most important features

- Very fast deployment

- Very stable

- Quick upgrade and transparent for the final user

- Competitive price

What do you dislike about BMC Helix Discovery?

- Maybe some improvements in monitoring tools

- Datacenter analytics not its strongest feature

- Update lifecycle could be better

- If they added some kind of financial analysis it would be fine

What do you like best about BMC Helix Discovery?

BMC Helix Discovery coming up with the SaaS model helps to decrease infrastructure footprint and using Outposts helps in discovery in a more efficient manner. In a way more and more customers are looking to expect from a solution - SaaS to save costs.

Discovery as code, service modelling and application modelling offerings of BMC are still one of the best in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BMC Helix Discovery?

Cost. BMC providing exceptional features is still costly which most clients are unable to afford.

With more and more competition, there are competitors providing products at a significant lower cost.

The caviat is between features and cost.

Also, most competition are using discovery tools for Cloud Migration assessment which BMC does not provide features for. Which makes it lag in market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I created an entire Managed service, Discovery as a Service, using this tool . Beneifits were automations, visibility into hybrid model of estate, optimisations, spotlight onto cloud migration

it's a fantastic tool..this even helps for cost saving as we can analyse the total servers that we have..with all required details..which are decomm and which are working condition not used etc...so a main goal can also be cost saving along with managing the whole database for server details Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

2. The product has been relatively stable.

3. Technical support is excellent.

4. There are a couple of item capabilities that make the solution excellent.
