Canopy helped our practice exponentially as we navigated the complex matters of capacity management several years ago. Starting with workflow management and the tax transcript tool, we were able to automate many of the processes of how client work moves through our office in a way that increased efficiency and inner-office communication, which was sorely needed in our small firm. The ability to prioritize our own tasks and deadlines, as well as visibility into what was on the plate of other members of our firm, has been enough for me to declare Canopy a huge win for the industry. Add to that the ever-expanding capabilities of industry-relevant tools, client communication, and templates for everything you could ever need in your practice, and Canopy is a home run. The interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy for new hires to navigate, and the learning center is an invaluable tool for learning how to get the most out of the program and get many of your questions answered without a call to customer service. The only difficulty we have experienced with Canopy is that the automations sometimes fire off a bit slower than we would like, making it crucial to click through tasks slowly to ensure things don't get "unclicked" by the automation that was triggered by the previously completed task. This may be improved by faster internet speeds than we have access to, or may simply need to be something your firm users stay aware of when moving quickly in the software.
