"Corona Renderer: Easy to Catch"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

High realism in lighting: Corona delivers excellent results, especially in terms of natural and artificial light behavior, which is crucial for interior visualization.

Ease of use: The learning curve is quite friendly compared to other render engines. It took me about a year to become fully comfortable with it.

Useful presets: The inclusion of Corona Cosmos provides a wide range of ready-to-use materials, assets, and lighting setups that help speed up the workflow.

Integration with 3ds Max: Works seamlessly and feels stable, which makes the process smoother.

Impressive speed: Even at high quality, Corona manages to produce renders faster than I expected, making it reliable for both client presentations and conceptual design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

Like most render engines, it is very resource-demanding on the system. While this is expected, it still requires a powerful workstation to handle larger projects comfortably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"no-headache"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

What I have to say about Chaos Corona is that it feels simple and stress-free. The interface is super straightforward, so I can get realistic results without spending hours on settings. Lighting is always beautiful—whether I use HDRI or physical lights, the scene instantly comes alive. The material workflow also feels very natural, almost like I’m shaping the object with my hands. On top of that, it’s stable and reliable—no annoying crashes—and if you’ve got a strong PC, renders fly. Even on weaker hardware, Corona remains patient and completes the task smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

It can be pretty demanding on RAM, especially with big, detailed scenes. If you don’t have a powerful setup, you’ll definitely feel your system struggling. Another limitation is that it only works with 3ds Max (and Cinema 4D), which feels a bit restrictive. It would be amazing to see Corona integrated with more platforms so it could reach a wider range of designers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Corona Render remains the best rendering solution for achieving realistic visuals without compromise."
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

The software is very robust and without flaws or bugs. Well optimized and regularly updated, it evolves well with market needs. It is easy to handle and the results are always without unpleasant surprises, a highly realistic outcome with the definition and detail that my renderings need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

The rendering time with Corona and the CPU in path tracing can quickly become a constraint in production. Because it can quickly become too long. Even for previews. Especially in the case of animation or for the production of many visuals. Fortunately, they have now offered Vantage and compatibility with Corona. But full compatibility for animation under Vantage with Corona is still somewhat awaited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A reliable and intuitive renderer that delivers stunning results"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

What I like most about Chaos Corona is its perfect balance between ease of use and powerful results. The interface is clean and straightforward, which allows me to focus on creativity instead of technical complications. The rendering quality is outstanding, with realistic lighting and materials straight out of the box. It’s also very stable and integrates seamlessly into my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

There is very little to dislike about Chaos Corona. Sometimes the rendering speed could be improved on very complex scenes, but overall it’s not a major issue considering the high quality of the output. A few more built-in material presets would also be helpful, but these are minor points compared to the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential tool for everyday visualization work"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

What I like most about Chaos Corona is how intuitive and straightforward it is to use. The workflow feels natural, and the interactive rendering feature is incredibly helpful for making quick adjustments and seeing results in real time. Compared to other renderers, Corona has a very gentle learning curve while still delivering stunning, photorealistic results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Corona, an artist-friendly renderer"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

Corona is a very intuitive renderer, the interaction is smooth and responsive which cuts down on waiting time when creating a design. The lighting is also very realistic straight out-of-the-box, no need to spend time tweaking (unless you want to) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

Not much to say here, but if i had to choose something, i'd say render times when rendering heavy scenes which aren't carefully optimized. Also, the material library could always be expanded more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Tool with Room for AI Enhancements"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

I love how intuitive and user-friendly Chaos Corona is, making it easy for someone like me who hadn't used similar software before. The performance of the renderer is excellent, and its integration with 3ds Max is outstanding, enhancing my architectural visualization projects significantly. I deeply appreciate the powerful scatter functionality, which is exceptional for projects with many repetitive objects. Additionally, the program's student pricing has been a perfect fit for my needs and budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

I find the long rendering times to be a significant issue with Chaos Corona, which can be quite limiting, especially when compared to other programs known for faster performance, like Twinmotion or D5. Additionally, the limited material library is problematic for me, requiring me to rely on external website libraries for the objects I need, hindering my workflow efficiency. "Chaos Corona"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

What I like most about Chaos Corona is how intuitive and artist-friendly it is. It allows me to focus on design and lighting without getting lost in overly technical settings. The interactive rendering is fast and responsive, which makes it easy to test ideas quickly and iterate on visuals. I also really value the physically accurate materials and lighting system—it consistently produces beautiful, photorealistic results with minimal effort. The integration with 3ds Max (or Cinema 4D) feels smooth and stable, and the LightMix feature is incredibly useful for making adjustments without re-rendering everything. Overall, it strikes a great balance between quality, speed, and ease of use—making it a great tool for both quick visualizations and high-end final renders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

While I really appreciate Chaos Corona for its ease of use and impressive photorealism, there are a few aspects I find limiting. The lack of real-time rendering slows down design iterations, especially compared to engines like Unreal or Enscape. Since it’s CPU-based, it doesn’t take advantage of modern GPUs, which can be a drawback in more complex scenes. Feature-wise, it’s simpler than V-Ray and misses some advanced capabilities I occasionally need. Also, its support is restricted to 3ds Max and Cinema 4D, which limits flexibility across different pipelines. I’ve noticed that rendering times can be quite long in heavy scenes, and the standard material editor in 3ds Max still feels outdated—not having a proper node-based system. The shift to subscription-only licensing is another downside, particularly for freelancers or small studios. Render farm integration isn't as smooth as it could be, and while the built-in post-processing tools are helpful, they’re quite basic. Overall, I enjoy working with it for what it does well, but it does have clear limitations in more demanding or diverse workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
