"InkScape for impressive art"
What do you like best about Inkscape?

It is a very dynamic and easy-to-use tool, and plugins can be added to adapt it to the required work. I love that the tools are very common and understandable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

On some occasions, it is not easy to locate the necessary plugins, and the installation process can be complex. It would be more convenient if it already had some common tools to facilitate their use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Free but a little clunky at times"
What do you like best about Inkscape?

It’s free so what’s not to like? Inkscape has a good range of tools for manipulating SVG images and was once a vital part of anyone’s arsenal when working with SVG images. One very good and powerful but less used feature is it can be used over the command line to batch and automate jobs. The performance is not bad, unlike the Adobe suite it’s not going to eat your RAM and CPU. It’s a great option for someone looking for a well featured SVG editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

The interface has never been as refined as paid products - it doesn’t feel as slick as Adobe Illustrator. As it’s cross-platform the look and feel of the interface doesn’t feel ‘native’ to the OS (Windows in my case). I’ve had problems at times with the windows positing and sizing - this might just be the result of using it on a dual monitor set up with different size/resolution screens. It’s not a tool I use so regularly now as other products have caught up with their SVG support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best open-source graphic designing software for anyone."
What do you like best about Inkscape?

Inkscape is very easy to use, even for beginners. You just need to play around with it for sometime and you'll get the hang of it really quickly.

It has so many great features and tools.

I like that its completely free and open-source so this eliminates any cost for graphic designing software.

Even though its a fre software it can be used for high end projects.

You can easily save your project in various formats.

I love that it has the ability to convert bitmap images into vectors.

It has all the features of a paid graphic design software even tho its completely free.

I love that the theme of the software is customizable, from the color and type of the icons to grids and lines, everything is customizable to how you like it.

There are fast and easy keyboard shortcuts to navigate throught the software, you can open tabs, control zoom and more using shortcuts to make whatever project you're doing more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

I'm not too fond of the sidebar panels and that it's hard to reopen if you accidentally close it.

It lacks a few features, such as adjusting the radius of a corner directly with the mouse tool.

I don't particularly appreciate that sometimes Inkscape suddenly closes, and if you forgot to save the project, it's gone, this has happened to me numerous times, and it's very frustrating.

At first sight, Inkscape might look a little confusing to get your head around all the available features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined App for Vector linearts"
What do you like best about Inkscape?

I like that it's free, but offers most if not all (at least, for my business) features of an industry standard program like illustrator. Also like that you can drag the pen lines to make adjustments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

A couple features are less intuitive, but a Google search helps. Most of the features are there but the icons aren't the most descriptive sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best free software for making vector files!"
What do you like best about Inkscape?

Of course I love it because it's free, but it's also free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

I do not really have a problem with Inkscape; the only thing is that it takes some learning on how to use it...there are excellent tutorials on Youtube, though to help anyone out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best light weight software for graphic design"
What do you like best about Inkscape?

The best thing about Inkscape is how lightweight it is, it runs very smoothly even with less than 4 GB RAM and fills almost every need of a graphic designer for small projects. also, it is open-source and available on every platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

The thing I most disliked about Inkscape was that it had very few and limited fonts. also, some functionality can be improved Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best free Vector Editing Software Around"
What do you like best about Inkscape?

Its price point of being $0 is the most enticing part of this product. Being someone who only needs to edit/create SVGs occasionally, I don't really need a premium Adobe product because I find it a bit overkill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

Inkscape's UI feels a bit dated at times. Just navigating the different tools feels a bit cumbersome at times, and getting started with Inkscape and learning a workflow required many Youtube tutorials. The official Inkscape guides feel a bit too barebones at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Illustrator Alternative"
What do you like best about Inkscape?

Since Adobe isn't supported on Linux, I had to do some research and was very happy to come across Inkscape. The software takes some time to learn, similar to any other software, but it's a great alternative for vector graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

The biggest downside for me personally, after using Adobe products for several years, is the shortcuts are very different. As an artist and professional, shortcuts are key to being quick and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Good for vector graphic designing as it has various features and options available. Also compatible with various Operating systems. Once familiar with the interface, quite good for creating beautiful designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inkscape?

Not very beginner friendly. Had to spend some time understanding its Interface and searching for particular options when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
