Focusing initially on connectivity. We find the tariffs available to be the best part of why we use Pelion, combined with active roaming, we can strive to be "always connected". The private VPN package also provides a level of connectivity to each of our devices directly, securely and easily. We could not live without it now.

Turning towards the management of the network. Throughout our time using the online Pelion portal we have embraced more of the features from subscriber grouping to using the batch update feature. The "refreshed" interface that was released recently is better than the last version, it is slightly easier to use and is more reliable. The REST API endpoint has enabled us to begin trailing active device monitoring, however, development of this has been mothballed to date as we find the over consumption email alerts to do a good enough job. It is nice to know we have options in the future to expand the use of automation and integrate its productivity gains into our business.

We have suffered from network outages in the past and in the last year have seen reliability worsen slightly. These events have been identified and responded to quickly. The refreshed online management interface is better but personally I do find there is a lack of logic to the navigation, often trying to find a section but looking under the wrong menu. We've been using Pleion IoT for connectivity for several of our remote IoT products, and the experience has been good. Their SIM cards and server routing have proven to be reliable, which is critical for our deployments in the field.

The pricing structure is very competitive, and the coverage has been good in the UK, even in areas where we anticipated challenges. Support is variable from excellent to slow.

some of the terms are ambiguous. They have means for Pelion but not necessarily for customers. i.e. "Zone 1" is meaningless unless there is a reference to region, supported carriers etc

We use the EU & US sites. We would prefer a global site, but this raises even more issues about which selection would be the best for a SIM card

We use a large number of Pelion SIMs for our business, and the total cost is hard to beat. Pelion allow us to use a good variety of networks in order to provide the best available coverage almost everywhere we install our equipment.

The SIMs are reliable and provide good connectivity for our IoT devices. SIM management is straightforward and a good amount of information is displayed/accessible. SIMs are easy to set up configure in a number of different routers/devices.

Activation of a large number of SIMs is a bit of a fiddle, would be easier if a selectable tickbox allowed you to select multiple SIMs to activate at the same time. Additionally, cancelling SIMs can only be done via support, which is a little frustrating, although support do respond quickly. It would also be useful if cancelled SIMs could be hidden. This one stings a bit. When things go wrong—like SIM swaps not registering or devices failing to communicate—support can be slow to respond, and sometimes the communication feels lacking. I like the ability to be able to pre-purchase data at effective cost, allowing us to offer more to our customers and enhance our service. The connectivity is particularly important, as well as the quick resolution of issues as they arise.
