"Reliable reporting tool with good customization options"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

Progress Telerik stands out for its flexibility and depth in reporting customization. I use it primarily to set up and automate reporting for one of our DSPs, and it allows me to create detailed, visually clear dashboards that meet specific internal and client requirements. The reporting engine handles large data volumes smoothly, and the range of visualization components helps in building meaningful performance views which was easy to use. It also integrates well with external data sources, making it easier to consolidate multiple metrics like bid CPM, win rate, and revenue into one place. The export and scheduling options are robust too, saving time in weekly and monthly reporting. Overall, it’s a dependable solution for structured and data-driven reporting. What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

The main challenge is around the design interface, adding or repositioning elements can be cumbersome, especially when fine-tuning layouts. It’s not as intuitive as some modern drag-and-drop tools, which slows down minor edits. Occasionally, rendering complex layouts can take longer than expected, though performance is generally stable once configured. A more fluid UX for report design would make the tool even better. "The products of Progress Telerik are simply awesome. Nothing more, nothing less."
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

I have been working with the KendoReact components for several years and use them on a daily base. I use the Telerik ThemeBuilder since a couple of months. The components are really rich from a features perspective and the documentation is very good too. And integrating them with my application was as easy as adding a couple of npm packages to my app and I was done. Implementing them in my application is really easy too and they add a lot of functionality if needed.

ThemeBuilder is for styling of a Kendo Theme and it is a great tool that makes it really easy to change the look and feel of your application.

But the best thing in my opinion is the Telerik support! These guys are incredibly smart and also very fast in responding to any issue that gets reported (if any). I can only say that I'm really very satisfied with the product and the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Since now I have not come accross anything that I dislike with the product. As I said before, I'm a happy customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top notch controls to use in business apps"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

Telerik provides a long list of very rich UI controls beyond the basic, with high extensibility, customization and a variety of functionality we use in almost all web enterprise applications with Visual Studio.

Has a tool for apply themes to the controls, that can be extended for our own internal visual language.

Is sold in packages with different components and tools: reporting tool, sets of controls, testing tools, and for different frameworks (Blazor, Core, MVC, Angular, React, etc.).

Provides a comprehensive set of examples of use of each control, videos, webinars and forums that can guide the developer to get what they want to accomplish from the start. Besides Telerik has and excellent support service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

The downside we have found is some issues when versioning with GitHub apps with Telerik, with have to clarity by now how to overcome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Over a Decade of Reliable, High-Quality UI Components"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

Telerik’s components—both the original AJAX suite and the newer Kendo UI—have always been rock-solid, well-documented, and feature-rich. They save me countless hours on front-end development and make it easy to deliver polished, professional-looking applications. The Telerik Grid, in particular, is incredibly powerful and customizable. I also ap Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Nothing really! There’s a bit of a learning curve when moving between suites (e.g., from AJAX to Kendo UI), and occasionally the documentation could be clearer for edge cases or advanced configurations. Licensing costs can add up for smaller teams, but the value delivered still justifies the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and Flexible Reporting Tool with Excellent Support"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

We are using Telerik reporting last 1 year. we use Telerik reporting for crystal report migration. Initially we face couple of challenges because we are new to this technology but after checking Telerik Documentation and support we got from Telerik team we completed the couple of report.

I like most here Telerik Support by 24 hours always get the reply from the with proper solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

1.Accessibility Documentation Could Be Clearer – Features like Enable Accessibility and ViewerRenderToolTips are available but making them work effectively with screen readers (such as NVDA) and different PDF viewers (like Adobe Reader vs. Foxit) often requires trial and error. More complete and practical examples would help a lot.

2.Inconsistent Tooltip Support Across Viewers – Tooltips (via AccessibleDescription) show correctly in Foxit PDF Reader but not in Adobe Reader or most browser-based PDF viewers. This inconsistency can create confusion for end users expecting uniform behavior.

3.CanShrink Property in PageHeaderSection – The CanShrink property does not behave the same way in PageHeaderSection as it does in ReportHeaderSection. Even when content is hidden based on conditions, the section height remains, which affects layout. Aligning its behavior with the ReportHeaderSection would provide more layout flexibility. "Powerful and Reliable Tools for .NET Development"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

Progress Telerik offers a comprehensive set of well-documented, high-quality UI components that are easy to integrate and customize. The controls are visually appealing, perform well, and the frequent updates ensure compatibility with the latest frameworks. Their technical support is responsive and knowledgeable, which helps resolve issues quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

While Progress Telerik offers great value, the learning curve for some advanced features can be steep, and the documentation, though extensive, could provide more real-world usage examples. Additionally, the licensing cost may be high for smaller teams or individual developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Support, but a Slightly Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

I really like that there are plenty of usage examples for each component, which makes it easier to get started. The implementation with Angular is also very smooth, and I use it daily in my projects. It’s very rare that I can’t find a component I need — there seems to be a solution for almost every use case. However, if I need to customize something beyond the basic examples, I usually need to reach out to support. I haven’t really used third-party integrations yet, so I can’t comment on that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Some components have a slightly steep learning curve, especially when it comes to more advanced customizations. Also, the price can feel a bit high for smaller teams or projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great component suite, I use the data grid in all my apps"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

The data grid is amazing. It's easy to setup in any language I've used and saves me so much time. The input controls are ok, some are no different than HTML controls but others are more robust. It would be nice if some controls were more customizable but overall they are great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

The licensing. Each project has had different requirements for implementing the license. Sometimes it's a file included with the project. Other times it's a pretty complex process to have it included in a deployment pipeline. I think someone needs to look at how licensing is applied and make it even easier than the controls you supply.

I also find the examples are a little simple. It would be nice if you had an example application that showcased real world examples of how your controls can be used. Maybe have 3-4 different ways ranging from simple to complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Progress Telerik's suite of controls are great and their support team can be very helpful"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

Telerik's products and support are quite good. They have a large suite of controls that we use and when you engage their support, you don't have to wait too long for a response. They have extensive documentation, so it is relatively easy to get started and to add controls you may not have used in the past in an existing project. I really like the fact that their support often creates sample projects for you to test out their solution to your problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Like most things, if you want something very out-of-the-box, it can be hit or miss. Sometimes, Telerik has the solution and engaging their support early-on has been very beneficial. Other times, it is a known issue or limitation, and you can tell it is not likely to be fixed in the near future. It is disappointing to get that news, but at least their support is very responsive and lets you know quite quickly. Sometimes they have a control that you find really useful but unfortunately it is not used by many and so does not get the attention you would like (in terms of making it better and easier to integrate into your project).
