I have been using Strikingly for several years. Recently I decided to cancel the account.

After cancelling the service was terminated immediately even though I still had 24 days left in the 1 month subscription, for which I have paid.

During the cancellation process on the website it was not clearly mentioned that the service will be stopped not at the end of the subscription period but immediately after the cancellation. That means that if you want to cancel Strikingly and still use the 1 month subscription, for which you have paid, you have to remember to cancel your subscription on the very last day. If you forget to do so, your subscription will be automatically renewed for 1 more month. I am sure this is convenient for Strikingly but definitely not convenient for their customers. When using other subscription services (Amazon, Spotify, etc) usually after cancellation you can still use the service until the end of the subscription period.

I complained to customer service but they did not want to extend my subscription for the remaining 24 days for which I have paid and told me that I have to pay for a new subscription if I want to use the service.

There are other similar solutions on the market with better features than Strikingly for the same price and without the tricky customer policies which are unfavourable for the customer.

Strikingly is not competitive compared to alternatives.

UPDATE:

After sending customer service my reviews for Strikingly they finally granted me with free 1 month subscription to compensate for the 24 days that I was not able to use. Still I spend quite a lot of time messaging with customer services and they did not want to grant my request or considered it fair before sending them the reviews. There is pretty limited customization options in terms of the sections you could use. I am more familiar with Wordpress and overall found that to be a more robust tool compared to what is available from Strikingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how wildly simple it is to use Strikingly. You can micromanage/customize every aspect of your site if you wish, or you can pick a quick template, import your information from LinkedIn and be ready to publish in minutes. Strikingly is an easy to use web builder for people looking to launch a website quickly. I love how simple it is to build a modern website for those with very little knowledge of web development. The drag and drop interface doesn't take away from the quality of the code behind the design and helps both developers and designers create great looking websites quickly. What I love most about Strikingly is the ease of use. I am currently in the process of designing a website to sell items online and I love that I can do this on my own. With a few easy steps I have been able to create the look and feel of a website that I am happy with and hope my customers will come to know and love as well. The thing that I dislike the most is the lack of free fonts. I mean, I totally get that I am not paying for the PRO service, but I would love more fonts to chose from. I am not complaining, just wish that there were a few more to work with. Same I guess goes for the colors and such, although that I am able to customize to my liking.
