"Very friendly Software"
What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

Easy to use no need for prior specific education! Thanks for the SAP provideers and for my company to choose SAP.

In addition, SAP Datasphere is a unified, cloud-based data service built on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) that provides a comprehensive business data fabric for data integration, cataloging, semantic modeling, data warehousing, and virtualization across SAP and non-SAP data sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

Dislikes about SAP Datasphere include high costs and lack of scalability for small businesses, performance issues with large datasets, complex integration with non-SAP tools, a steep learning curve, intricate data modeling and setup processes, and frequent, sometimes disruptive UI changes. "User-Friendly Experience with No Dislikes So Far"
What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

This tool is very user-friendly and truly amazing, making it accessible to anyone without the need for training or documentation. You can set up your workflows easily and without any complications. If you ever encounter any difficulties, the support team is responsive and helpful. I regularly use datasphere for both my company and personal needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

So far, there isn't anything I dislike. While there is room for improvement in terms of functionality and available options, it works well for beginners. However, if you try to implement more advanced logic, you might encounter strange errors, issues with caching, and longer rendering times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A user-friendly and powerful data management solution with room for simpler setup"
What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

I think SAP Datasphere is very user-friendly compared to other enterprise data management tools. The interface is intuitive, and it allows seamless integration with different data sources. I particularly like how it combines data modeling, governance, and analytics capabilities within a single environment, making it easier to connect business users and technical teams. Its compatibility with SAP and non-SAP systems also adds great flexibility for organizations managing complex data landscapes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

While SAP Datasphere is powerful, its initial setup and configuration can be quite complex for new users. The documentation could be more detailed, especially when it comes to advanced integrations. Additionally, performance can sometimes slow down when handling very large datasets, and pricing may be on the higher side for smaller organizations. A more streamlined onboarding experience and better customer support responsiveness would make it even more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Experience reviewing SAP Datasphere for data integration and analytics."
What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

What I like best about SAP Datasphere is its seamless integration with core SAP applications combined with the ability to preserve business semantics and context in data models. This makes it much easier to create trustworthy, business-ready data products that can be used consistently across analytics and planning solutions. In addition, I value the flexibility to connect SAP and non-SAP data sources in one governed environment, enabling a holistic view of enterprise data without losing performance or control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

What I dislike about SAP Datasphere is that it can feel complex and resource-intensive to set up, especially when integrating large volumes of non-SAP data. Some features are still maturing, and performance can vary depending on the data source. In addition, the cost model may become challenging as usage scales, which requires careful planning. "Good for mostly SAP-based companies, but still maturing"
What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

Best about SAP Datasphere.

I like that it connect very smooth with SAP systems. I worked only once with this product, one of our clients using S/4HANA, and Datasphere made it easier to bring sales and finance data together without building so many ETL flows. Also the business layer is helpful, because we can show data in more “business words” not only technical.

Most helpful about SAP Datasphere

For me the most helpful thing is we can centralize SAP + other data in one place. In BigMoney Analytics, which is our small company that works with automation analytics of small and medium businesses, we don’t need to spend too much time building custom pipelines, because Datasphere already handle part of it. That save us time and help us deliver Power BI dashboards quicker to clients.

Upsides of using SAP Datasphere

Easy to connect to SAP sources, less headache.

Business friendly modeling, not only for IT guys.

Combine ERP operations with finance reporting.

Faster time to deliver analytics, which our client like a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

I only worked with SAP Datasphere one time, in a project for one of our clients. From this limited experience, the main thing I didn’t like was the performance when data stay virtualized. For bigger tables the queries was slow, and finally we needed to replicate part of the data which made the setup more heavy. Also the licensing and cost is not so clear, it looks like it can get expensive fast when you scale. Since it was just one project, maybe I didn’t explore everything, but I also felt non-SAP integrations are not so strong, we had to do extra work to connect other systems. It looks powerful, but at this stage I think the product is still maturing and missing some advanced functions compared to older SAP tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful solution to integrate and manage data efficiently"
What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

What I value most about SAP Datasphere is the ease of connecting multiple data sources in a single centralized environment, which greatly speeds up decision-making. The integration with other products in the SAP ecosystem is seamless and allows for real-time information retrieval. I also like that it offers a secure and scalable environment, ideal for organizations that handle large volumes of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

The initial learning curve can be a challenge, especially for users who have no prior experience with SAP platforms. Some advanced functionalities require quite a bit of configuration and the interface, although comprehensive, could be more intuitive. Additionally, the licensing cost can be high for small or medium-sized businesses, which limits its accessibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful for SAP ecosystems, but with room for improvement"
What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

I like that it preserves the business context and metadata from SAP systems without forcing you to rebuild hierarchies or logic when moving data.

Strong integration capabilities: you can federate or replicate data across SAP and non-SAP sources, cloud and on-prem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

Expensive and sometimes overly complex if your organization isn’t deeply invested in the SAP ecosystem.

Developer experience could be smoother. The interface feels heavy, and advanced query building or modular testing isn’t always intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Data and Real-Time Insights with SAP Datasphere"
What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

What I like best about SAP Datasphere is how it empowers organizations to manage and analyze data from multiple sources in a seamless and efficient way. Its cloud-native architecture allows for real-time data access and integration, eliminating the need for complex data movement or replication. I appreciate its ability to connect structured, unstructured, and streaming data, making it easier for teams to derive actionable insights quickly. The intuitive interface and advanced data modeling capabilities simplify data preparation, governance, and collaboration across departments. Additionally, the platform’s strong integration with other SAP solutions ensures consistency and reliability in analytics and reporting. By providing a single, unified view of enterprise data, SAP Datasphere helps organizations make informed decisions faster, optimize operations, and drive innovation. Its combination of scalability, flexibility, and real-time analytics makes it an essential tool for modern data-driven businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

While SAP Datasphere offers powerful data integration and analytics capabilities, one area that can be challenging is its complexity for new users. The platform has a steep learning curve, particularly when working with advanced data modeling, transformations, or integrating multiple data sources. Even with documentation and tutorials, getting fully comfortable with all its features can take time and practice. Some users may find that certain configurations or connections require additional technical knowledge, which can slow down initial adoption. Additionally, while the platform is very flexible, this flexibility sometimes comes with the trade-off of having to manage more setup and maintenance tasks compared to simpler, more streamlined solutions. Performance can also vary depending on the volume and complexity of the data being processed. Despite these challenges, SAP Datasphere remains a strong tool for enterprise data management, but organizations should be prepared to invest in proper training and planning to maximize its potential. What do you like best about SAP Datasphere?

SAP Datasphere offers a powerful, unified environment for managing and integrating data from multiple sources throughout the enterprise. Its tight integration with SAP and non-SAP systems allows for real-time data access and transformation, which helps teams maintain data consistency and quality. Once you're used to it, the interface is simple to use, and the built-in data governance and lineage capabilities help to ensure compliance and transparency. The scalability and cloud-native design make it an excellent choice for large organizations that require flexibility and security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Datasphere?

While SAP Datasphere is a robust platform, it comes with a steep learning curve, especially for users new to SAP’s ecosystem. Some advanced configurations require technical expertise, and initial setup or integration with legacy systems can take longer than expected. The pricing can be high for smaller teams, and performance may vary depending on data volume and connection type. Customer support is generally responsive but could be faster for more complex technical issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
