"Seamless Employee Communication with Workshop and Outlook Integration"
What do you like best about Workshop?

We switched to Workshop from Constant Contact when we were having problems with our emails not delivering. We love that Workshop integrates with our Outlook emails, so we know all our employees are receiving our communications. We also communicate with our employees through text, and Workshop makes it easy to send both internal emails and texts simultaneously. The calendar feature makes it easy to see what communications our team has planned. Workshop is constantly innovating, taking customer feedback to heart, and looking for ways to make our experience better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

We honestly don't have any cons for Workshop. We do wish that they had an events feature. It would make it great for tracking internal event attendees, sending communication about the event, and follow-up surveys afterward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Email Metrics, but Limited Design and Integration Options"
What do you like best about Workshop?

I love the metrics—it’s great to see who opens my emails, how much time people spend reading them, and when they click on links. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

I find it frustrating that there aren't many options to make the design look really good. It would be fantastic if I could connect this with SharePoint, or have the ability for users to click and navigate to a different Workshop section. That way, I wouldn't have to squeeze all the content onto a single page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredible platform with incredible customer support!"
What do you like best about Workshop?

The fact that we can sync it to our active directory is a game changer. We can confidently send content knowing we have the most up to date lists and contact information for our team members. It's an incredibly user-friendly platform - our entire HR team and other teams have all learned the platform quickly and easily. I also have to commend the customer service Workshop provides. From my very first interaction at a conference to the sales call to onboarding to my customer support team, it has all been seamless. Every Workshop team member has a great personality and goes above and beyond to help. The onboarding process and implementing it within our company was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

The only downside is not having multiple sources of truth for our lists (i.e., HRIS and Active Directory); however, I know this is something the Workshop team is working on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Workshop Boosts Communication Strategy and Customization"
What do you like best about Workshop?

Internal communicators know that it's SO difficult to measure our impact, so we'll take any advantage we can get. Through Workshop, we've been able to expand how we measure performance of our communications, which allows us to focus on the methods that work best for our team. Since implementing Workshop, we've been able to dial into our strategy more and spend our time working on the projects that matter, not having to worry about how we'll get the message out. Employees have taken notice of the levels of customization and templatization we've been able to deliver to our teams.

Over our first year, we've been especially grateful for the high level of support we've received as we've implemented and expanded our use of the platform. The team has also been very receptive to our feedback throughout the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

Workshop has met most of our needs, but as a newer solution there are times where we find a few gaps in features that would be nice to have. They move quickly with releases, however, and anytime we've had a request the team has been very receptive to our feedback, so we feel confident they'll continue to innovate in the future. "Giving our Internal Communications More "Oomph""
What do you like best about Workshop?

Workshop has elevated our internal communications! It's easy to use, feels modern, and professionalizes the function. The templates have upgraded our comms to feel more professional, consistent, and visually appealing. Plus, I am now able to track data around messages where outlook has a 12-month expiration date on emails. I've received a lot of great feedback about the tool! I also appreciate it's affordable, which as a nonprofit and with our sector losing funding, I am so thankful to have the software remain affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

1. More data insight would be helpful. Seeing the amount of time someone spends reading the email is helpful but doesn't feel super insightful for me.

2. Translation feature should not be limited to the highest subscription.

3. Being able to see who clicks on the web link would be helpful. Currently it just shows the clicks.

4. Would be great to be able to recall emails.

5. Users should be expanded to more than 5 people. I'm a team of one so I would like to be able to give other people access but am limited by the 5 people mark.

6. Integrating with Viva Engage would be helpful! For those of us who do not use Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, streamlined experience"
What do you like best about Workshop?

Workshop has improved our internal organization around messaging and forced us to be more strategic about how we approach internal communications. The calendar feature has allowed us to plan ahead and not inundate team members with messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

It would be a huge value add if Workshop offered a RSVP/event feature within the platform. As a company, we offer a lot of events and it would be helpful to house everything in one platform versus our current method of linking out to an external planning platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent, easy to use internal comms platform!"
What do you like best about Workshop?

Incorporating Workshop into our internal communications has been a breeze and absolutely wonderful. For the first time, we actually have data that we can track, to see how our newsletters are performing! The intuitive design features make drafting my weekly emails easy, and the template feature saves me time each week. As one of the main users of the platform in our organization, I'm in Workshop every week drafting, planning, executing comms, and exporting data. We've only been using the platform for about 6 months, and it's provided us many insights! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

We've come across some limitations in the template/design builder, but they appear to be more of a Gmail issue than Workshop (certain fonts not rendering appropriately). There is also some specific data I would love to have available to export directly from Workshop, but it is not, so I've been trying to create some separate scripts on my end to get me the data I need. "Intuitive to Use and Generates Insights with Data"
What do you like best about Workshop?

While we're still at the beginning of our internal comms journey, integrating this tool to level up our internal emails has been a game-changer. The platform is very easy to use, accessible, and gives us data that helps inform our strategies. The templates makes visually appealing emails easy, and the data allows for seamless retargeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

One small thing that would be helpful is to have additional tagging functionality on the emails (or allow a single email to be part of more than one campaign when it comes to looking at analytics). For example, we have a large facilities project on the horizon that we sometimes talk about in standalone emails and other times as one item in a larger newsletter. It would be great to have these emails tagged as both part of our newsletter campaign and our project campaign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best internal email tool out there, based on extensive research and usage"
What do you like best about Workshop?

Web-based and works like an email marketing tool, rather than integrating with Outlook

Ability to have the emails come from anybody and replies go to anybody. You can truly send on behalf of senior leaders

Syncs very easily with HRIS data (for distribution lists)

Receive detailed data on each individual email recipient, which can then be grouped by your existing email distribution lists

Extensive formatting/design options, including ability to make it look like just a regular Outlook email

Implementation was pretty seamless

Customer service is not really ever needed, but it's good when you need it

More features if you want to pay for them (SharePoint/Teams integrations, improved customer service, embedded surveys, audience segmentation for different rows of emails, time zone sending, data API, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

There is one minor annoying footer at the bottom of the emails that I haven't been able to get rid of based on the way our email security is set up ("This email has been scanned by the Symantec Email Security.cloud service")

Sending a reply to an existing email is a little manual/cumbersome

The emails have fixed widths and so will not look 100% like a normal Outlook email

I wish I could customize the data reporting a little more (though there is an API if you pay for it) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use and great for internal communication"
What do you like best about Workshop?

I really appreciate how easy Workshop is to use. The templates save me a ton of time, and everything feels really straightforward. Even when I’m juggling a lot, I can get a nice-looking message out quickly without overthinking it. It’s made internal comms feel more manageable and way less stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workshop?

The builder can be a little limiting when you’re trying to make something more custom or move elements around. It’s not a huge issue, but there are moments when it takes a few extra clicks to get things just right. Still, overall it’s a solid tool that keeps improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
