🔦 Our employee spotlight for the month of September features one of our Technical Support Engineers, Krista C.! Based in Calgary, most of her days are spent helping customers navigate issues, but she's also been diving into the engineering side of things, turning customer pain points into actual code fixes through our Quick Win initiative. Between pairing with engineers to test features like the experimental CSS pushdown banner and keeping up with support tickets, she's become the bridge between what customers need and what the team can build, and we are so grateful for her contributions! Get to know her below! 👇 🥰 What are you passionate about outside of work? “I'm passionate about constantly leveling up my skills and trying new things! Lately, that's been playing volleyball in our local league, building technical skills through personal software projects, and exploring hobbies like reading, ballet, pilates, and speed puzzling. I'm also a foodie always hunting for good food in the city!” 😎 Fun Fact? “I have a typing speed of 138 words per minute! (the average typing speed is 40wpm for reference).” 🤓 What project at Chameleon are you most proud of? “I’m proud to have contributed to the Quick Wins project that our Engineering and Product teams created to tackle small improvement tickets that might otherwise be deprioritized! I’m also excited about my internal Support Handbooks project, where I’m building (and working on automating) resources and troubleshooting guides that will help with support efficiency and strengthen technical product knowledge across the team.” 🚀 What is your favorite part of your team? “I love that our CS team is fanatical about helping our customers succeed and everyone truly is an A-player. The team’s work ethic constantly pushes me to grow technically and professionally - and we’re doing all of this in a remote environment too!” 🙌 Here's what one of our Senior CSMs, Nuno Morais, has to say about her… “Working with Krista is great! A while back I got some really amazing product advice from Kevin Wang: he told me NOT to worry about what we were building 🤨 He said that it was really hard to predict what would actually work... Instead, the best lever for startup success was to build and test quickly ⏩ We applied that in two ways: 1️⃣ We built a brand new product: Interactive Demos! (See https://lnkd.in/ezwTBrA2) It's a big risk to deviate from your core, especially as a small company But we knew a change was coming: user onboarding was "shifting left" and more product learning was happening outside the actual product UI So we made a bet and are shipping as fast as we can.
