With SAIM, IAH’s fueling team can now see the entire fueling operation in real time - from storage tanks to hydrant lines - on one secure platform. That means better visibility, faster problem-solving, and more confidence in keeping operations running at peak performance. This deployment marks another step in our mission to modernize fuel facility management at airports across North America, giving operators the tools to manage risk, ensure compliance, and streamline the work that keeps people and planes moving. ✈️Fueling the Future at IAD ✈️ We’re proud to announce the successful completion of our second Into-Plane Deployment at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), in partnership with Menzies Aviation. As part of this project, our team: ✔️Tagged all Into-Plane fueling equipment with NFC technology, enabling operators to scan and confirm that inspections and maintenance are performed on the correct unit. ✔️Conducted a comprehensive survey of each vehicle and asset, creating a centralized database of key operational and maintenance details. ✔️Installed GPS units on critical fueling equipment to deliver real-time location data, improve dispatch accuracy (getting the right equipment to the right aircraft), and enhance reliability tracking with usage-based maintenance scheduling. All of this data will be seamlessly integrated into the SAIM platform, providing one hub for maintenance, QC checks, and real-time location visibility. This deployment represents another step toward smarter, safer, and more efficient fueling operations — giving operators the tools they need to ensure compliance, optimize resources, and enhance reliability. Nicole Stewart, General Manager at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) Fuel Company with Menzies Aviation, has been leveraging the SAIM platform since 2023 — and it’s been a game-changer for her operations. 🔧✨ Recently, Nicole shared her top three tips for fellow general managers looking to unlock the full potential of SAIM: 1️⃣ Use the “All Late Maintenance Tasks Overdue Today” report. It lets you spot trends of inaccessible areas or work distribution issues and keep on top of problematic devices (with syncing issues, etc.). We print ours daily, and it's a point of friendly competition between teams – it becomes clear who isn’t keeping up. 2️⃣Give regular updates to your teams about the overall completion rate. Seeing the big-picture numbers gives a better perspective! If the numbers are trending in the wrong direction, the team can brainstorm why and how to improve. Giving ownership to the whole group has encouraged participation and improved our numbers. 3️⃣ Keep on top of your asset lists. Take items out of service when appropriate, and keep the task assignments correct. It’s a living thing and needs pruning and redirection to be current and useful.
