It’s been incredibly special to welcome interns to the Design team this summer. Here are a few of Michael's highlights: "My favorite part was the MCDC onsite meeting: I got to talk to Pinterest employees across different Creative, Marketing, and Communications teams, learn from Andréa Mallard's seminar, and take home Pinterest merch. This summer was awesome and I learned so much about accessibility within design systems!"

When I joined Pinterest, my team could all fit in a single conference room. Now we barely fit anywhere. This photo shows less than a third of us! I lead a function we lovingly call MCDC (Marketing, Comms, Design, Creative), which is a true hybrid of both Product teams (Research & Insights, Design, UX, PMM, Go-To-Market) and Growth & Storytelling teams (Brand & Performance Marketing, Communications, Creative, Data Science, Strategic Operations). The power of bringing these disciplines together has been transformative for the business. The power of bringing these disciplines together *in person* is transformative for the soul. I am never happier than when I see this brilliant team working, building, debating, and, yes, on occasion, dancing together. As I told everyone at our onsite last week, leading MCDC has been the greatest privilege of my career. The talent and tenacity of this team is absolutely unmatched. I will never deserve them.
