Abstract

Novedosos compuestos que son inhibidores de una o de la mayoria de proteasas que escinden la postprolina, por ejemplo, la dipeptidil peptidasa IV, de acuerdo con la formula general (I). R1 es H o CN, X1 es O, S, CH2, CHF, CF2, CH(CH3), C(CH3)2 o CH(CH), y b es 1 o 2. G1 es H o un grupo de acuerdo con la formula -CH2 -X2 -(CH2)a -G3, con la condicion de que uno de G1 y G2 sea H y el otro no sea H. X2 es O, S, o CH2, y a es 0, 1, o 2, con la condicion de que cuando a sea 1 entonces X2 sea CH2. G3 es un grupo de acuerdo con una de las formulas generales 2-4, en donde las variables tiene los significados proporcionados en la descripcion. Los compuestos son utiles en el tratamiento, Inter alia, de la diabetes tipo 2 y de la tolerancia deteriorada a la glucosa.(Ver formulas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, y 7).
