An abrasion and corrosion resistant alloy comprising (in wt. %) 0.5 =C =2.5, 20 =Cr =35, 3=W =15 and balance Co. The alloy may also contain at least one, pref. two or all three, of Ni, Cu and Mo in amts., 0.5 =Cu =5, 5 =Ni =20 and 4 =mo =10. Alloy is suitable for pump rotors and propellers operating in corrosive mediums or liquids contg. suspended abrasive minerals.
