Abstract

<b>imunoensaio para detecçao de veneno incluindo uma coleta não-invasiva de amostra.<d>métodos e imunoensaios para diagnosticar uma mordida ou picada de um organismo venenoso em um paciente tendo sintomas consistentes com tais mordidas ou picada são providos. uma amostra de veneno é coletada de uma área damordida ou picada suspeita usando um swab e então contatado com um anticorpo que especificainente se liga a um local antigênico no veneno presente na amostra. a ligação é então detectada. a invenção é ilustrada por exemplos mostrando o diagnóstico de mordida de da aranha marrom reclusa, distinguindo-o de outros diagnósticos com os quais é treqüentemente confundido. este teste extremamente sensível pode detectar antigenos de veneno até aprox. 20 picogramas mesma após a amostra ter sido embarcada e armazenada por períodos de até três semanas durante o verão.
