Abstract
La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de mesure de la teneur en gaz carbonique des gaz expirés. L'appareil est un analyseur non dispersif de gaz (100) adapté en prolongement des voies respiratoires, et pouvant se connecter à n'importe quel ordinateur hôte. L'analyseur (100) se compose d'un carter (102) maintenant une cellule d'échantillonnage retenant les gaz expirés. Le carter contient en outre une source d'émission infrarouge (130) encastrée dans une substance amortissant les chocs, un organe permettant d'envoyer l'émission sous forme d'un faisceau à rayons parallèles au travers de la cellule d'échantillonnage, des organes (145) permettant de diviser le faisceau et de le diriger sur deux capteurs infrarouge (142, 146) permettant de mesurer la quantité d'absorption de gaz carbonique dans la cellule d'échantillonnage. L'analyseur est pourvu de deux servocommandes chauffantes (118, 152), l'une régulant la température de la fenêtre de la cellule d'échantillonnage de façon à empêcher la formation de condensation, l'autre régulant la température ambiante autour des capteurs (142, 146) afin de garantir une plus grande exactitude des mesures. Un étalonneur, logé dans le carter (102) de l'analyseur, mémorise et délivre des informations caractéristiques des paramètres de fonctionnement de l'analyseur (100).
