Abstract
La présente description porte sur un système de détection des défauts (10) permettant d'imager thermiquement une structure (12) qui a été excitée par une énergie acoustique. Ledit système (10) comprend un transducteur (14) qui couple un signal acoustique dans la structure (12), ledit signal réchauffant les défauts présents dans la structure (12). Dans une certaine configuration, le signal acoustique a une ou plusieurs fréquences qui correspondent ou qui sont proches d'une fréquence propre de la structure (12). Dans une autre configuration, un matériau d'accouplement non linéaire (16) est positionné entre le transducteur (14) et la structure (12) de manière à coupler l'énergie acoustique du transducteur (14) à la structure (12). Une force définie à l'avance (26) est appliquée au transducteur (14), et une durée d'impulsion et une fréquence d'impulsion du signal acoustique sont choisies de manière à ce que l'énergie acoustique induise un chaos acoustique dans la structure (12), générant ainsi une énergie thermique accrue. Une caméra à imagerie thermique (22) transforme la structure (12) en image lorsqu'elle est chauffée par le signal acoustique.
