The invention aims to solve some problems of the existing dumbbell and barbell disc, and provides a novel dumbbell or barbell disc, which not only can greatly reduce the cost of product materials relative to an iron cast dumbbell disc, but also can keep better product appearance and smaller product volume relative to a PE cement dumbbell disc.
In order to achieve the above purpose, the invention adopts the following technical scheme: the assembled disc for dumbbell or barbell consists of casing and stuffing filled inside the casing, and features that the casing is metal casing and is filled with sand material. The disc adopts sand as filler, which is not only beneficial to selecting low-cost filler and reducing the material cost of the product, but also beneficial to uniform filler through stamping compaction, can avoid internal air holes, can obtain larger density when the pressure is high enough, and is beneficial to ensuring the balance of the product and the relatively smaller product volume. The shell is divided into a lower shell and an upper cover, and necessary structural conditions are provided for packing and punching compaction of the packing before edge pressing encapsulation. Effectively solves the problem that air holes formed in PE cement dumbbell piece blow molding shells can not be treated when cement is canned in the blow molding shells.
The upper cover is pressed and fixed through the folded edge formed by inwards bending the peripheral edge of the lower shell, the volume of the lower shell can be designed to be equal to or larger than the volume before sand material compression, sand materials can be normally filled into the lower shell before compression, sand materials cannot overflow, and after the sand materials are pressed and compressed, the part of the peripheral edge of the lower shell, which is higher than the upper plane of the sand materials, is just used for being bent to form the folded edge.
Based on the structure, when the disc is assembled, the sand material can be subjected to the next step of edge pressing packaging only by simple one-time filling and one-time stamping, and no neutral space is left in the assembled shell. The sand is not needed to be filled after stamping, or other auxiliary devices or tools are used for ensuring that the sand with the volume larger than the shell capacity before compaction is not scattered outside the lower shell.

Because of the precision, the outer diameter of the upper die of the stamping sand cannot be close to the inner diameter of the lower shell, and enough clearance needs to be reserved to prevent the upper die from being damaged by the lower shell during stamping. This results in the sand at the gap not being compacted or part of the sand being squeezed out of the gap during stamping. In order to solve the problem, the invention provides an improved method which can replace the assembly method, after sand filling is completed, an upper cover is covered, and then the sand is indirectly compacted by pressing the upper cover. The method comprises the following steps: taking a non-folded lower shell and a straight core tube, inserting the lower end of the core tube into a central hole of the lower shell, and then filling sand into the lower shell; the upper cover is covered on the sand material, and the upper end of the core tube is inserted into the central hole of the upper cover; compacting the filled sand by pressing the upper cover; then, the edge of the upper cover is pressed by the inner flanging of the part, which is higher than the upper cover, of the peripheral edge of the lower shell from the upper part of the edge of the upper cover; and finally, expanding the upper end and the lower end of the core tube, and fixing the core tube with the upper shell and the lower shell.
The invention has the beneficial effects that: the material of the disc itself is low in bulk; the shell processing and sand compaction can be completed by a simple mechanical device such as a punching machine, the equipment cost is low, and the processing condition requirement is low; the processing process does not need heating, the processing energy consumption is low, the processing process does not need working procedures such as cooling, solidification and the like which need waiting, and the processing efficiency is high.
