Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of medical equipment, in particular to medical waste collection equipment.
Background
In the practice of certain surgical procedures, liquid, semi-solid and solid waste of the type including, in particular, body fluids such as blood, and infusion solutions introduced to the surgical site during the procedure, are inevitably produced, and in addition, solid and semi-solid waste produced during the procedure includes fragments of tissue and small pieces of surgical material that may remain in the body site. Ideally, the waste, once generated, is collected so as not to contaminate the surgical site, nor be a biohazard to the operating room or other site where the surgical procedure is performed.
In the prior art, there are a variety of waste collection systems available for medical personnel to collect waste generated during surgery or after surgery has been performed. The principle is mainly that the waste generated at the operation site is sucked into a specific collecting container by a suction force generated by a vacuum source. That is, after the system is activated, the suction force generated by the vacuum source reaches the surgical site, drawing waste into a specific collection container through the tubing that the surgical site contacts.
For example, the neptrene medical waste collection facility of prior art, the history of which is available in the prior art, see fig. 1. Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a medical waste collection facility of prior art, the medical waste collection facility 1 comprising a mobile unit 11, a vacuum source 12, a consumable cassette 14 and a waste collection tank 13. In this solution, the tubing 15, which is in contact with the surgical site, is connected to the waste collection canister 13 by means of a removable consumable cassette 14. The mobile unit 11 may allow for more flexibility in the positioning of the medical waste collection device 1 during use.
However, in the other solutions shown in fig. 1 and in the prior art, the vacuum source is directly connected with the waste collection tank, so that negative pressure is generated in the waste collection tank, and suction of waste is realized through the consumable box also connected with the waste collection tank and the pipeline connected with the consumable box; and in order to avoid liquid in the waste collection tank from entering the vacuum source, the connection between the vacuum source and the waste collection tank is made more complex and requires periodic inspection and investigation, which is likely to be left unattended, with the risk of contaminating the equipment. In addition, since the medical waste collection device is used, the waste in the waste collection tank needs to be emptied and disinfected, at this stage, a connecting pipeline still exists between the waste collection tank and the vacuum source, and the transportation process and the emptying process both can result in physical vibration with larger amplitude, and the medical waste collection device filled with the waste can be out of control in the transportation process due to the existence of the mobile unit, and at this time, the physical connection between the waste collection tank and the vacuum source still can cause the risk of polluting the device with the waste in the waste collection tank.
