Hierdurch wird erreicht, dass der Beobachter ein Display wahrnimmt, welches doppelt so groß wie das eigentliche Dual-View-Display ist. Durch den einen Spiegel hat der Beobachter den Eindruck, als sei hinter dem Spiegel ein weiteres Display vorhanden, welches er seitenrichtig wahrnehmen kann, da die Anzeige für den zweiten Betrachtungswinkelbereich in dem Dual-View-Display seitenverkehrt dargestellt wird. Die Flächen neben dem Dual-View-Display können somit für andere Aufgaben, wie beispielsweise Öffnungen für Belüftungsvorrichtungen, verwendet werden. Da die benötigte Displayfläche zur Anzeige der gewünschten Informationen kleiner ausfallen kann, wird weiterhin weniger Energie zur Ansteuerung des Displays benötigt und somit Stromverbrauch und Wärmeentwicklung reduziert. Da das Display kleiner ausgestaltet sein kann, wird auch die Schwingungs- und Schockproblematik des Gerätes verringert, da die Gesamtgerätemasse sinkt.
